REQUESTING LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES WITHIN THE CITIES OF BRADBURY
DUARTE, ROSEEAD.I= SOUTH EL MONTE FROM THE LOS ANGERS COUNTY
SHERIFF'S DEPARTI-MUT UNDER THE RrFGIONAL L:V1.4 E RCE11EIITT SERVICES
AGREEMENT.
THE CITY COUNCILS OF BRADBURY, DUARTE, ROSEMEAD AND SOUTH
EL MONTE DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Councils of the Cities of Bradbury,
Duarte, Rosemead and South E1 Monte, pursuant to the terms and
provisions of the Regional Law Enforcement Agreement, dated
191 and entered into by and between the
County of Los Angeles and the Cities of Bradbury, Rosemead,
Duarte and South El Monte do hereby request the County of Los
Angeles, through the County Sheriff's Department, to provide law
enforcement services as indicated in Section 2.
SECTION 2. Each City shall pay to the County during the
first year of this contract that percentage of the total cost of
said law enforcement level set forth as follows:
Bradbury 1 %
Duarte 21 %
Rosemead 49 %
South E1 Monte 29 %
SECTION 3. There is hereby created an Administrative
Committee which shall consist of the City Manager of each City
and the Sheriff of the County, or their respective authorized I
representatives. Said Committee shall meet at the request of nny
one (1) member of the Committee at a time and place mutually
agreeable to all members. This request shall consist of a wri
or verbal notice given to all other members of this Administrati
Committee setting forth the requesting member's desire to call

to be paid by each City, operational standards, and any other-

matters relating to the administration of, the Regio:2a1 Law Enforce
7
ment Plan. The Sheriff of the County, or his authorized represen-
8
tative, shall present upon request, statistics evaluating the
9
effectiveness of the plan and other such information as may be
10
useful in evaluation of the plan.

SECTION 4. After the first year of -the Regional Law
12
Enforcement Services Agreement, each City shall pay a percentage
13
of the total cost of the law enforcement level as established by
14
the Administrative Committee based upon area, major crimes and

experience of called for service during the preceding year.

Changes in this percentage cost, payable by each City, shall only

SECTION 5. It is hereby requested that the Board of

rite the performance of services requested in this resolution,

subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Law Enforce-

went Services Agreement dated 19--

SECTION 6. The City Clerks are directed to forward the

certified copy of this resolution to the Clerk of the Board of
26
Supervisors, to the County Sheriff's Office, and to the Chief
27
Administrative Office, County of Los Angeles.
