CC - 1975-63 - Closing Pulbic Access on Steele Streetr RESOLUTION NO. 75-63 C A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD CLOSING TO PUBLIC ACCESS A PORTION OF STEELE STREET WHEREAS, that portion of Steele Street lying between Muscatel Avenue and the Westerly side of- the Rosemead City Hall driveway lies wholly within the City of Rosemead; and WHEREAS, the City of Rosemead is in the process of insti- tuting action to vacate said portion of Steele Street; and WHEREAS, the City of Rosemead and the County of Los Angeles, the owners of the property adjacent to said portion of Steele Street, have executed an agreement providing for the joint use of that portion of Steele Street lying between the County Library and the site for the Rosemead Community Center presently under construction; and WHEREAS, said Agreement provides that part of said portion of Steele Street will be utilized by the City of Rosemead in connection with the Rosemead Community Center; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to begin construction in said part of Steele Street in connection with the development of the Rosemead Community.Center. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL.OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The public convenience will be best served by closing to ppu tic access that portion of Steele Street lying between Muscatel Avenue and the Westerly side of,.the Rosemead City Hall driveway. Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to install temporary barricades along said portion of Steele Street or to take other appropriate action to close said portion of Steele Street to public access. i / G OR EST: CIT CLERK
