CC - 1975-67 - Vacating SteeleRESOLUTION 75- 6 Y A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD ORDERING THE.VACATION OF A PORTION OF STEELE STREET THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council of the City of Rosemead on October F~7-5, adopted, Resolution No. 75-65 entitled "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF STEELE STREET AND SETTING A TIME AND PLACE FOR PUBLIC HEARING THEREON." Section.2. Notices of the proposed street vacation were duly poste in the manner and form and at the time required by Streets and Highways Code Section 8322. Section 3. The City Council of the City of Rosemead held a pub iT Fearing thereon on Monday,TNovember 10, 1975, at the hour of 8:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located at 8838 East Valley Boulevard, Rosemead, California, at which time said City Council heard all evidence offered by persons interested in the proposed vacation and no persons were present to protest same. Section 4. The City Council of the City of Rosemead does hereby i'nd and determine that the.portion of Steele Street within the City of Rosemead as delineated and shown on the map and plan on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City-of-Rosemead, and particularly described as::'.. Y That 400 foot portion of Steele Street h lying between Muscatel Avenue and.a line parallel to Muscatel Avenue.lying. 400 feet easterly therefrom • s unnecessary for,present or prospective public street purposes and said portion of Steele Street shall be and hereby is vacated. Section 5. The City Council of the City of_.;Rosemead heretofore. eta-erred in Resolution No..75-65 that the public convenience and•necessity require the reservation of easements and rights-of-way to construct, maintain, operate, replace, re- move and renew sanitary sewers and storm drains and appurtenant structures in, upon, over and across said portion of Steele Street and to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove, renew and enlarge lines of pipe, conduits, cables, wires, poles, and other convenient structures, equipment and fixtures for the operation of gas pipe lines, telegraphic and telephone lines, water lines, and for the transportation or distribution of electric energy, water, and incidental purposes, and hereby declares that these proceedings and the vacation.of said street as herein above pro- vided are subject to and governed by said reservations and ex- ceptions contained in said Resolution No. 75-65. Section 6. The City Clerk shall cause a certified copy of this7reso ution and order_to be recorded in the office 7,5-6 • r 0 of the County Recorder of the County of Los Angeles. PASSED,.
