Your Certification of Election of Allayor: Section 4730 of the California ,Health & Safety Code stipulates that the presiding officer of a city, all or part of which is in a Sanitation District, is a member of the Board of Directors of the Sanitation District. Therefore, as soon as a member of your Council is elected Mayor, he is automatically a Director, and no appointing action is necessary.
