A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD
CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING A MEMBER OF SAID COUNCIL TO ACT AS
AN ALTERNATE DIRECTOR OF THE COUNTY SANITATION DISTRICT
OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD, CALIFORNIA DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That GARY A. TAYLOR
City Council of the City of Rosemead, is hereby
as an Alternate Member of the Board of Director,
District No. 15 of Los Angeles County to act in
officer of the City Council during his absence,

In the event of the reorganization of your City Council, the following information
is required by the County Sanitation Districts as soon as possible thereafter:
1. Your Certification of Election of Allayor: Section 4730 of the California
,Health & Safety Code stipulates that the presiding officer of a city, all or part of which is
in a Sanitation District, is a member of the Board of Directors of the Sanitation District.
Therefore, as soon as a member of your Council is elected Mayor, he is automatically a
Director, and no appointing action is necessary. However, a certification of his election
is required, in the following form:

After his appointment, an Alternate Di.rcetor rernains an Alternate as long as he is on the
City Council or action is taken appointing a different Alternate. Of course, if he is at any
time elected Mayor, lie becomes a Director, and another member must be appointed as
Alternate. The action should be similar to the following:

of the City of , is hereby selected and designated
as an alternate member of the Board of Directors of County
Sanitation District No. of Los Angeles County to act in
the place of the presiding officer of the City Council during his
absence, inability or refusal to act as a member of said Board'
