CC - 03-16-990 r1 L J MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING ROSEMEAD CITY COUNCIL MARCH 16, 1999 AP ItO V ED CITY OF ROS MEAD DATE/3 ~99 The special meeting of the Rosemead City Council was called to order by Mayor Bruesch at 7:05 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, 8838 E. Valley Boulevard, Rosemead, California. The Pledge to the Flag was led by Mayor Pro Tern Vasquez The Invocation was delivered by Mayor Bruesch ROLL CALL OF OFFICERS: Present: Councilmembers, Imperial, Taylor, Mayor Pro Tem Vasquez, and Mayor Bruesch Absent: Clark - excused APPROVAL OF MINUTES: NONE 1. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE - NONE H. PUBLIC HEARINGS - NONE III. LEGISLATIVE A. RESOLUTION NO. 99-07 - CLAIMS AND DEMANDS The following Resolution was presented to the Council for adoption. RESOLUTION NO. 99-07 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD ALLOWING CERTAIN CLAIMS AND DEMANDS IN THE SUM OF $381,644.64 NUMBERED 26066 THROUGH 26347 MOTION BY COUNCILMAN IMPERIAL, SECOND BY COUNCILMEMBER VASQUEZ that the Council adopt Resolution No. 99-07. Vote resulted: Yes: Vasquez, Taylor, Bruesch, Imperial No: None Absent: Clark Abstain: None The Mayor declared said motion duly carried and so ordered. IV. GENERAL ELECTION MATTERS A. RESOLUTION NO. 99-09 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON MARCH 2, 1999, DECLARING THE RESULT AND SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS PROVIDED BY THE LAW The following Resolution was presented to the Council for adoption: CC:3-16-99 Page N1 0 RESOLUTION NO. 99-09 • A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON MARCH 2, 1999, DECLARING THE RESULT AND SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS PROVIDED BY THE LAW MOTION BY MAYOR PRO TEM VASQUEZ, SECOND BY COUNCILMAN IMPERIAL that the Council adopt Resolution No. 99-09. Vote resulted: Yes: Vasquez, Taylor, Bruesch, Imperial No: None Absent: Clark Abstain: None The Mayor declared said motion duly carried and so ordered. B. ADMINISTRATION OF OATH OF OFFICE AND ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES OF ELECTION The City Clerk administered the Oath of Office to Jay Imperial and Gary Taylor and presented them with their Certificates of Election. Mayor Bruesch congratulated Councilmen Imperial and Taylor. Frank Tripepi, City Manager, also extended congratulations to both Councilmen. V. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE - NONE VI.
