RESOLUTION NO 78-6
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ROSEMEAD, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING, PURSUANT
TO ELECTIONS CODE #5353 THE SUBMISSION TO THE
QUALIFIED VOTERS OF SAID CITY AT THE GENERAL
MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY
ON MARCH 7, 1978, AN ADVISORY PROPOSAL RELATING
TO ISSUANCE OF $9,930,000 TAX ALLOCATION BONDS
WHEREAS, the Legislative Body of the City of Rosemead
desires to submit to the qualified voters of said City, an
Advisory proposal relating to issuance of $9,930,000 of tax
allocation bonds; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemead is
thereupon authorized and directed by statute to submit the
Advisory proposal to the 'qualif Ed voters;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rosemead
California DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That at the General Municipal Election
to be held in said City on March 7; 1978, there shall be sub-
mitted to the qualified voters of said City an Advisory pro-
posal --hereinafter set forth relating to issuance of $9,930,000
of tax allocation bonds.
SECTION 2. That the Advisory proposal submitted to
the voters shall be as set forth on attachment 1 hereof, and
inoorporated by reference herein:
SECTION 3. That the polls for said election shall
be opened at seven o'clock a. m. of the day of said election
and shall remain open continously from said time until eight
o'clock p; m: of the same day, when said -',polls shall be
closed except as provided in Section 14301 of the Elections
Code of the State of California.
SECTION 4. That on the ballots to be used at said
election, in addition to any other matters required by law;

~v SECTION 5. That a cross(+) placed in the voting
square after the word "YES" in the manner herinbefore pro-
vided shall be counted in favor of the adoption of the
proposition. A cross placed in the voting square after
the. word "NO" in the manner hereinbefore provided shall be
counted against the adoption of the proposition.
SECTION 6. That notice of the time and Dlace of
holding said election is hereby given and the City Clerk
is hereby authorized, instructed and directed to give such
further or additional notice of said election in time,
form and manner as required by law.
SECTION 7. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this Resolution shall enter the same
in the book of original Resolution of said City, and shall
make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records
of the proceedings of the City Council of said City in the min-
utes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
SECTION 8. That this Resolution shall take effect
immediately.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of
January 1978.

AN ADVISORY MEASURE OF THE CITY OF
ROSEMEAD FOR APPROVAL OF ISSUANCE
OF $9,930,000 OF TAX ALLOCATION BONDS
BY THE ROSEMEAD REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
WHEREAS, the Rosemead Redevelopment Agency of the City of
Rosemead, California (the Agency) is a redevelopment agency (a
public body, corporate and politic) duly created, established
and authorized to transact business and exercise its powers,
all under and pursuant to the Community Redevelopment Law
Part 1 of Division 24 commencing with Section 33000 of the .
Health and Safety Code of the State of California) and the
powers of the Agency include the power to issue bonds for any
of its corporate purposes; and
WHEREAS, a Redevelopment Plan for a redevelopment project
known as the Redevelopment Project Area No. 1" has been adopted
and approved by Ordinance No. 340 of the City of Rosemead (City)
which became effective on July 27, 1972, and all.requirements
of law for and -precedent to the adoption and .approval of said
Redevelopment Plan and the amendments thereto have been duly
complied with; and
WHEREAS, the Agency is considering the issuance and sale
of $9,930,000 Rosemead Redevelopment Agency, Redevelopment Pro-
ject Area No. 1, Tax Allocation Bonds:- Series B (the Bonds),
which issuance, by law, must be approved by the'City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, the people of Rosemead do propose as
follows:
SECTION 1. It is the sense and advice of the people of
the City of Rosemead that the City Council shall grant its
consent to the issuance of $9,930,000 of tax allocation bonds
by the Rosemead Redevelopment Agency.
SECTION 2. This measure shall be advisory in nature only
pursuant to the provisions of Section 5353 of the California
Elections Code.
