CC - 1978-27 - Amending Land use Element of the General PlanA RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD AMENDING THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN FOR THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF SAN GABRIEL BOULEVARD AND RUSH STREET. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, The City Council hereby that a Public Hearing was duly conducted the Council Chambers of the Rosemead City Boulevard, Rosemead, California, and that date, place, and purpose of the aforesaid according to Law. finds and determines Dn June 27, 1978, in Hall, 8838 Valley notice of the time, hearing was given WHEREAS, The City Council hereby finds that the General Plan calls for this area as outlined on the attached map to be commercial. Because of the development of multiple residential units to the east, and adjacent to this property, and multiple residential projected north of this site, and the lack of demand for commercially zoned property in this location, it is reasonable to amend the Land Use Element to multiple family residential. WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds that amending the Land Use Element of the General Plan by deletion of the commercial zone as outlined above, will not have any significant adverse effect on the environment. WHEREAS, The City Council further finds that a Negative Declaration was prepared in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the Guidelines for the imple- mentation of CEQA, and Rosemead Resolution 75-28. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED- that the City Council hereby adopt the aforementioned amendment to the General Plan, and the secretary shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
