A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 80-65 AND COOPERATION AGREEYENT
BETWEEN THE CITY 07 `.?CSEMEAD AND THE ROSEMEAD REDEVELOP-
MENT AGENCY FOR 'fLTE T P,:P1"OVEMENT OF DEL MAR AVENUE BETWEEN
GRAVES AND HELLMAN AVENUE
This amendment to the Agreement is entered into this 9th
day of August, 1983, by and between the City of Rosemead,
California (hereinafter "CITY") and the Rosemead Redevelopment
Agency (hereinafter "AGENCY").
WHEREAS, the parties hereto have previously entered into
a Cooperation Agreement regarding the improvement of Del Mar
Avenue in the City of Rosemead; and
WHEREAS, the project has been undertaken in two phases; and
WHEREAS, the City has received the funding for a portion of
Phase I of the project from the Agency; and
WHEREAS, the Agency desires to reimburse and cooperate with
the City for the remainder of the project; and
WHEREAS, the Agency funding of the project authorized by the
October 28, 1980 Agreement has been exhausted.
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows:
SECTION 1. The last sentence in Section 5 of the October
28, 1980 Agreement between the parties hereto is hereby deleted.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have executed this Amendment
to the Agreement on the date first above written.

OF ROSEMEAD AND THE ROSEMEAD REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY FOR IMPROVEMENT OF DEL MAR AVENUE
BETWEEN GRAVES AND HELLMAN AVENUE
THIS AGREEMENT is entered into this 9th day of August,
1983, by and between the City of Rosemead, California ("CI'f'Y")
and the Rosemead Redevelopment Agency ("AGENCY").
WHEREAS, pursuant to Health and Safety Code §33000 et
seq., the City Council of the City of Rosemead established the
Rosemead Redevelopment Agency under authority of the California
Community Redevelopment Law; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Health and Safety Code §33000 et
seq., the City Council of the City of Rosemead, by enactment of
Ordinance No. 340, on June 27, 1972, has established the Rosemead
Redevelopment Project Area No. 1; and
WHEREAS, CITY and AGENCY have a common interest in
and wish to facilitate redevelopment within the City and to pro-
vide for the cooperation of CITY and AGENCY in carrying out re-
development activities; and
WHEREAS, CITY and AGENCY bot?1 desire to construct the
public improvements and facilities described herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties agree:
Section 1. Each party shall have access to the services
and facilities of the other party and its staff. Each party shall
also cooperate with the other in providing for redevelopment acti-
vities within the City.
Section 2. AGENCY shall supply to CITY such information
and reports as from time to time the City may require.
Section 3. CITY will assist AGENCY in the Planning,
financing, acquisition, construction and maintenance or operation
of redevelopment activities undertaken by the AGENCY within CITY
in accordance with applicable State and Federal Law.

Section 4. CITY and AGENCY shall jointly undertake
the planning, acquisition, design and construction of the improve-
ments described as the widening and reconstruction of Del Mar
Avenue as Resolution No. 80-44 and City Council Resolution No.
80-65. City shall be the "Lead Agency", as defined in Public
Resources Code §21067 for the planning and development of such
improvements and facilities.
Section 5. AGENCY shall pay to CITY, by way of advance
or reimbursement, by direct or indirect payment, the cost of
developing all of the improvements described on Del Mar Avenue
(Graves to Hellman). Such payments shall be made pursuant to the
findings in RRA Resolution No. 80-44 and Health and Safety Code
§33445. Such payment shall be from existing Agency funds.
Section 6. CITY may undertake the project improvements
set forth herein without further approval from Agency and shall
be paid, upon demand, for each itemized project upon completion,
or at such other time as may be convenient to the CITY.

shall not exceed the sum of $897,880.

be paid, upon demand, for each itemized project upon completion,
or at such other time as may be convenient to CITY.
