CC - 1982-06 - Conditional Use Permit 81-234RESOLUTION NO. 82-6 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD APPROVING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT 81-234 FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A CONVENIENCE MARKET TO BE OPERATED IN CONJUNCTION WITH A NEW SERVICE STATION ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 9423 VALLEY BLVD. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, that an application was duly filed by Min Seong Kang and Mi Yong Kang, requesting the establishment of a new convenience market and service station, to be known as, K. S. Market, and to be located at 9423 Valley Blvd., Rosemead, Cali- fornia, and that a public hearing was duly scheduled for January 12, 1982 at 8:00 p. m., in the Council Chambers of Rosemead City Hall, 8838 Valley Blvd., Rosemead, California; and that notice of the time, date, place and purpose of the aforesaid hearing was duly given; and that a public hearing was duly conducted at the aforementioned time and place, and WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that facts do exist as required by Section 9180, et. seq., of the ordinances of the City of Rosemead, justifying the granting of a Conditional Use Permit. WHEREAS, the City Council further finds that the following specific findings justify the granting of a Conditional Use Permit: 1. The project is in harmony with the elements and objec- tives of the General Plan. 2. The project will not be detrimental to the surrounding properties. 3. The project is desirable to the public convenience. 4. That a Negative Declaration was prepared in compliance with the Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) guidelines for the implementation of CEQA, and Rosemead Resolution No. 79-77 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD: SECTION 1. The proposed Development as described within plans dated January 21, 1982, and as modified by the con- ditions listed on Exhibit "A" attached hereto, is hereby approved. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and shall transmit a copy of said Reso- lution to the Planning Department and to the applicant for their records. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 9th day of February, 1982. ATTEST: R City lerk EXHIBIT "A" (CUP #81-234) 1. That steel oosts be installed at both ends of the two pump island. 2. That either bumper stops be added to the parking stalls, or a raised six inch (6") curb be utilized along the planters adjacent to all parking areas. 3. Directional arrows shall be placed at the driveway entrance points and the northern driveway turn-around. 4. That a "No Parking" restriction shall be posted at some obvious location above the northern driveway turn-around. 5. That approximately 150 square feet (5' X 30') of additional planter area be provided along the Valley Boulevard street frontage between the two proposed driveways. 6. That an automatic irrigation system be provided for all landscaped areas, which includes both automatic and sensor activated devices. 7. That the 20 foot alley located immediately to the north of the subject propserty shall be paved to City standards for the full width of the property and to the point of the inter- section with Rio Hondo Avenue.
