A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ROSEMEAD, CALIFORNIA, CONFIRMING THE STREET
SUPERINTENDENT'S REPORT AND ASSESSMENTS THEREIN.
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the Street and Highways
Code, 1911 Improvement Act, Chapter No. 27, Section 5895 and,
WHEREAS, the City Council at it's regular meeting of July 8th,
1980 adopted the following policy statement for payment of assess-
ments in annual installments, to wit;
"All assessments shall be due and payable within the
fiscal year in which the assessment is levied. Installment
payment, not to exceed five annual installments, may be
arranged for those owners of property who request install-
ment payment of individual assessment and who demonstrate
that substantial financial hardship will result from the
imposition of a one-year assessment. For purposes of this
policy, substantial economic hardship shall be defined as a
material reduction in the standard of living for the owner
of the property and his family, if any."
WHEREAS, the assessments are hereby confirmed for properties
listed in Exhibit "A".
SECTION 1. In accordance with Section 5883 of the Streets and
Highways Code, the report of the Street Superintendent with respect
to the Construction of Improvements and the proposed assessments
set forth therein are hereby confirmed.
SECTION 2. In the event that
within five (5) days from the date
is directed to record a notice of
Recorder and turn over a notice of
delivery to the County Auditor for
books opposite descriptions of the
said assessments are not paid
hereof, the Street Superintendent
lien in the office of the County
lien to the Tax Collector for
entry on the County Assessment
parcels concerned.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of April, 1901.
