RESOLUTION NO. 80-63 . RESOLUTION OF THE CITY'COUNCIL OF THE CITY'0F'ROSEMEAD INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR ANNEX'ATION.'OF CERTAIN'+UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED AS ANNEXATION N0..y8. . WHEREAS, a petition of application for the proposed Annexation of.territory in the. County of Los Angeles was heretofore filed with the Local Agency Formation Commission by chief petitioners; and WHEREAS, the reason or reasons for said proposal, asset forth in the petition therefore are: . Section 1. The site in question has irregular land con-,;I`t.- ditions that in order to be developed needs diversification n,~the location of structures and the.City's prezoning desig- nation of Planned Development (PD) allows for the required diversification. WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of Los.-,Angeles on November 14, 1979, adopted a resolution, approving said proposal, assigning "Annexation No. 48" as the distinctive short form designation, determining the,boundaries of the affected territory as described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made apart hereof, and determining such territory to be:.uhihhabited and WHEREAS, said Commission's resolution making determinations provides for the following terms and conditions: (none). WHEREAS, said Commission directed the City Council of the City of Rosemead to initiate annexation proceedings without notice and hearing by said Council and without an election; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rosemead DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE and ORDER as.follows: Section 1. Any owner of land within the affected territory, or any registered voter residing within said territory, may file a written protest againstcthe:proposal with.the City Clerk at any time prior to conclusion of the hearing in the matter. A written protest by a landowner shall contain a description sufficient to identify the land owned.by him; a protest by a voter,shall contain the residential address of such voter. PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 14th day of October 1980. No. 701 as shown on map filed in Book 16, pages 110 and 111 of Maps, in the office of the Recorder of_the County of Los Angeles, said corner being an angle point in the boundary of the City of Rosemead as same existed on November 1, 1979; thence southerly along the easterly line of said lot a distance of 238.29 feet to the southerly line of the northerly 100 feet of the southerly 7.545 Acres of said lot; thence westerly along said southerly line a distance of 96 feet; thence southerly parallel with said easterly line a distance of 86.85 feet; thence westerly parallel with the northerly line of said lot a distance of 75 feet; thence southerly parallel with said easterly line a distance of 36 feet; thence westerly parallel with said northerly line a distance of 259 feet to the easterly line of the westerly 200 feet of said, lot; thence northerly along said last mentioned easterly line a distance of 122.85 feet to said southerly line; thence westerly along said southerly line a distance of 190 feet to the easterly line of the westerly 10 feet of said lot;.thence northerly along said last mentioned easterly line a distance of 100 feet to the northerly line of the southerly 7.545 Acres of said lot; thence easterly along said last mentioned northerly line a distance of 290 feet to the westerly line of the easterly 330 feet of said lot; thence northerly along said last mentioned westerly line a distance of 138.29 feet to the northerly line of said lot; thence easterly along said boundary of the City of Rosemead -1- DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED "ANNEXATION NO. 48" TO THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD (Revised Description) (Continued) to the point of beginning.
