Weekly Activity Highlights
Registered Sex Offenders. Rosemead SAO Deputies along with Temple city SAO
Deputies conducted a registered sex offender operation. At the conclusion of the
operation, 145 registered sex offenders were contacted.
Narco Search Warrant. Rosemead SAO deputies along with Narco Unit conducted a
search warrant. At the conclusion of the operation, three individuals were arrested for
narcotics and possession of a firearm.

SAO Operations:
Registered Sex Offenders Operation:
Rosemead SAO Deputies in conjunction with Temple City SAO, South El Monte
SAO, County area SAO deputies were tasked with conducting home address checks
of registered sex offender throughout the city of Rosemead . These are individuals
who have previously been convicted of various sex related crimes and must register
their current home address to their local police station.
A total of 145 individual home checks were conducted for Temple Sheriff Station
reporting district.
Narco Search Warrant:
Rosemead SAO Deputies along with the Narco Unit conducted a search warrant
for a female Hispanic adult who has been distributing narcotics throughout the city
of Rosemead. During the search warrant, five individuals were detained and three
were arrested. Rosemead SAO Deputies recovered two firearms and a large
amount of narcotics.
Motor Deputy:
• 12 citations issued.
• 1 warning/advice given.
• Motor Deputy patrolled and focused on the following schools:
o Rosemead High School
o Emma Shuey Elementary School
Patrol Operations
Notable Incidents:
Driving reckless 23103(a) CVC- 8800 block of Valley Boulevard. Rosemead SAO deputies
assisted patrol units regarding an assault with a deadly weapon just occurred call.
The victim was a Rosemead CSO officer who stated a male driving a blue Toyota Prius had
attempted to hit his vehicle using a Toyota Prius.
Rosemead SAO Deputies contacted and detained the male. After a thorough investigation, the
male was placed under arrest for violation 23103(a) CVC, reckless driving. Sadly, due to his
arrest, the suspect’s dog had to be taken.
Burglary (Shoplifting) 459.5/666.1 PC – 1827 Walnut Grove Avenue. Deputies
responded to Walmart regarding a shoplifting call for service. Deputies responded ,
contacted and detained the suspect. During the contact deputies recovered approximately
83 dollars' worth of merchandise from the inside the store. Walmart was desirous of
prosecution and wished for suspect to be arrested for shoplifting.
Using departmental resources, deputies were discovered the suspect had two prior
convictions for violation 10851(a)CVC, driving without owners' consent and violation
484(a)P.C, petty theft.
Under the new proposition 36 law which makes two convictions for petty theft or 10851, it
makes the crime of misdemeanor shoplifting to felony.
The suspect was subsequently arrested for violation 666.1 PC, Petty theft with two priors.

Retail Theft Operation. Rosemead SAO Deputies conducted a retail theft operation at
Ulta. At the conclusion of the operation, three individuals were arrested.
Major Crimes Operation. Rosemead SAO Deputies along with Major Crimes
conducted an operation. At the conclusion of the operation, Rosemead SAO Deputies
arrested one suspect for possession of a firearm and several narcotics.
Narco Search Warrant. Rosemead SAO deputies along with Narco Unit conducted a

narcotics and operating an illegal gambling house.

SAO Operations:
Retail Theft Operation: Ulta and Target
Rosemead SAO Deputies conducted a retail theft operation at Ulta and Target.
During the operation, Rosemead SAO Deputies detained an individual for
shoplifting. A check for priors was conducted and discovered the individual had
prior theft convictions. The in dividual was arrested and booked at Temple Sheriff
Station for the new recently added penal code of 666.1 PC.
Rosemead SAO Deputies also arrested another individual who exited through fire
exit door after loading a shopping cart with merchandise totaling over $1000 dollars.
At the conclusion of the operation three individuals were arrested for shoplifting.
Narco Search Warrant:
Rosemead SAO Deputies along with the Narco Unit conducted a search warrant at
a residence where drugs were being distributed. At the conclusion of the warrant, it
was discovered that the homeowner was also operating an illegal casino. The
homeowner and two other individuals were arrested for drug related charges and
for operating an illegal gambling house.
Major Crimes Operation
Rosemead SAO Deputies assisted Major Crimes Bureau in arresting a wanted individual.
Rosemead SAO Deputies contacted and detained the wanted person. The individual was
in possession of a loaded firearm and narcotics. The suspect was arrested for several
felony charges.

Patrol Operations
Notable Incidents:
Rosemead patrol units arrested a named suspect who has been a h abitual offender at
Rosemead City Hall. The suspect has been a nuisance throughout the city of Rosemead
and has committed several theft crimes. With the help of the new proposition 36,
Rosemead patrol units were able to arrest the individual at Temple Sheriff Station.

and 0536.

SAO Operations:
Retail Theft Operation: Walmart
Rosemead SAO Deputies conducted a retail theft operation at Walmart. During the
operation, two individual who were detained for shoplifting had prior theft
convictions. Both individuals were arrested and booked at Temple Sheriff Station for
the new recently added penal code of 666.1 PC. While an undercover unit was
patrolling the Walmart parking lot, He observed several individuals ingesting Nitric
Oxide. Rosemead SAO Deputies detained all four individuals and arrested them for
possession and ingesting nitric oxide.
Motor Deputy:
• 50 citations issued.
• 1 warning/advice given.
• Motor Deputy patrolled and focused on the following locations:
o Willard Elementary School
o Bank of America (8856 Valley Boulevard)
o School Bus Stop (Walnut Grove Avenue and Landis View)

Patrol Operations
Notable Incidents:
Rosemead patrol units arrested six shoplifters last week on four different calls for service
at Walmart and Target and Ulta. All six entered the above retail stores and took items
without paying. Upon conducting a criminal records check on all six individuals, all
individuals had prior theft convictions. Therefore, all six were arrested on felony charges
for shoplifting (proposition 36).

Patrol Operations
Notable Incidents:
Possession of a stolen vehicle 496 D (a) PC : 4400 Block of Rosemead Boulevard.
Rosemead patrol unit observed a stolen vehicle and conducted a felony traffic stop. Up
further investigation, the suspect had prior knowledge of the vehicle being stolen. Based
on the above, the suspect was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle.
Robbery (attempt) 664/211 PC- 4200 Block of Rosemead Boulevard. Rosemead units
responded to a fight in progress call. Upon investigation, the suspect attempted to steal a
money from DBA "IN N OUT." With the help from a bystander, deputies located the
suspect. Deputies detained and arrested the suspect for robbery.
Robbery (Estes) 211 PC – 3300 Block of Del Mar Avenue. Rosemead units responded to
a robbery call for service at DBA "Sinclair Gas Station." A suspect was concealing items
inside their clothing. An employee confronted the suspect to put the items back. The
suspect brandished a knife to the employee and exited the store without paying for any of
the items. Responding deputies detained the suspect near the vicinity of the gas station
and arrested the suspect for robbery.

year in the city of Rosemead.

Assault with a deadly weapon 245 (a)(1) PC: 2700 Block of Jackson Avenue . Rosemead
patrol units responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call for service. Upon
investigation the suspect chased the victim with a knife. Deputies detained and arrested
the suspect.
Assault with a deadly weapon 245 (a)(1) PC: 2720 Block of Walnut Grove Avenue.
Rosemead units responded to a fight in progress call. Upon investigation, the suspect
used a sharp object to cut the victim in the arm. Deputies detained and arrested the
suspect.
