SUMMER CONVENING — JULY 17-18,2025 — COLUMBUS, OHIO
SUMMARY
The City Council will consider authorizing the attendance of any Council Member who wishes
to attend the 2025 National League of Cities Constituency Groups Summer Convening from July
17 —18, 2025 in Columbus, Ohio.
BACKGROUND
The National League of Cities' Constituency Groups host conferences and convenings providing
municipal leaders with valuable opportunities to gather, connect, and discuss pressing issues
facing their communities to advocate for policies that support local needs. Participants will have
the chance to attend workshops to gain new tools and resources and discover creative solutions
to common challenges in their communities. The National League of Cities Constituency Groups
will be held on July 17 — 18, 2025 at Columbus, Ohio.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council authorize any Council Member to attend the National
League of Cities Constituency Groups will be held on July 17 — 18, 2025 at Columbus, Ohio.
FISCAL IMPACT
The Expense and Use of Public Resources Policy, adopted by City Council Resolution
No. 2005-47, requires City Council approval for out-of-state travel beyond an adjacent state.
Funding for this purpose is included in the City's annual budget.
