NNE 30, 2025
The special meeting of the Rosemead City Council was called to order by Mayor Clark
at 6:00 p.m., in the Rosemead City Hall Conference Room located at 8838 E. Valley Boulevard,
Rosemead, CA 91770.
PRESENT: Mayor Clark, Mayor Pro Tem Armenta, Council Members Dang and Low
ABSENT: Council Member Ly (Military Leave)
STAFF PRESENT: City Clerk Hernandez
1. PUBLIC COMMENT
No comments were received.
2. MATTERS FROM MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
A. Interviews and Appointments to the Parks Commission, Planning Commission,
Public Safety Commission and Traffic Commission.
Recommendation: That the City Council take the following actions:
Consider appointments to the Parks Commission for three positions to serve a
two-year term.
2. Consider appointments to the Planning Commission for three positions to serve
a two-year term.
3. Consider appointments to the Traffic Commission for three positions to serve a
two-year term.
4. Consider appointments to the Public Safety Commission for three positions as
a resident and one position as a business member to serve a two-year term.
The City Council interviewed the following candidates for a City Commission:
• Alina Hernandez — Parks Commission
• James Berry — Planning Commission
• Daniel Lopez — Planning Commission
• John Tang — Planning Commission
• Billy Alarcon — Planning Commission
• Jeff Foutz — Public Safety Commission
• Stephanie Garcia — Public Safety Commission
• Sarah Kuang — Public Safety Commission
• Michael Drange — Traffic Commission

Mayor Clark recessed the meeting at 7:15 p.m. for a brief break and reconvened
back at 7:30 p.m.
Mayor Clark stated that since there are multiple applicants interviewing for more
than one Commission, the City Council will discuss and make the appointments
after the last of the Commission Interviews at the July 1, 2025, special meeting.
3. ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Clark adjourned the special meeting at 8:40 p.m.
