MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED MEETING DAT / "a -9a
ROSEMEAD CITY COUNCIL
NOVEMBER.17, 1992 BY
The Regular Meeting of the Rosemead City Council was called to
order by Mayor Clark at 7:08 p.m. in the Rosemead Community Center,
3936 N. Muscatel Avenue, Rosemead, California.
The Pledge to the Flag was led by Councilman Vasquez.
ROLL CALL OF OFFICERS:
Present: Councilmen McDonald, Taylor, Vasquez, Mayor Pro Tem
Bruesch, and Mayor Clark
Absent: None
I. DISCUSSION OF PUBLIC SAFETY CONCERNS WITH
Mayor Clark turned the meeting over to Temple Station Captain
Robert Mirabella who presented information regarding Community
Oriented Policing, a new program being implemented in the City of
Rosemead. Captain Mirabella stressed the importance of a partnership
between the residents and the members of the Sheriff's Department and
the establishment of Neighborhood Watch groups.
Some of the concerns expressed by various residents included the
need for more patrols in the residential areas and the increase in
graffiti and gang activity.
II. MATTERS FROM OFFICIALS - None
There being no further action to be taken at this time, the
meeting was adjourned at 9:00 p.m. The next regular meeting is
scheduled for November 24, 1992, at 8:00 p.m.
