SUBJECT: SCHEDULE A SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING FOR
APRIL 21, 2026 AND CANCEL THE REGULAR SCHEDULED
MEETING OF APRIL 28, 2026
SUMMARY
On March 10, 2026, the City Council directed City staff to schedule a special meeting for
Tuesday, April 21 at 7:00 p.m. as part of the required second public hearing for the proposed
charter item in lieu of the regularly scheduled meeting for April 28, 2026.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
That the City Council schedule a special meeting for Tuesday, April 21 at 7:00 p.m. to conduct
the required second public hearing for the proposed charter item, in lieu of the regularly
scheduled meeting and cancel the meeting of April 28, 2026.
FISCAL IMPACT - None
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
The proposed action does not constitute a project under the California Environmental Quality
Act ("CEQA"), and it can be seen with certainty that it will have no impact on the environment.
As such, this matter is exempt under CEQA.
