SUBJECT: GARVEY AVENUE BRIDGE BANNER DESIGN
SUMMARY
The City Council will review and provide feedback on proposed designs for the Garvey Avenue
Bridge Banner Program. This item is presented by staff for discussion and direction.
DISCUSSION
At its January 13, 2026 meeting, the City Council established a banner program for the Garvey
Avenue Bridge to ensure consistent standards and appropriate oversight of banner usage at this
location. The City Council directed staff to return with a design concept for review and feedback.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Council review the proposed designs and provide direction and
feedback.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no immediate fiscal impact associated with this item, as costs will depend on the final
banner design. Funding for the banner program has been included in the FY 2025-2026 budget.
Additional funding will be requested as part of the FY 2026-2027 budget process.
STRATEGIC PLAN IMPACT
The policy is consistent with the 2030 Strategic Plan' s Goal D "Parks and Programs".
