Brown Act:

be taken on a matter unless it is listed on the agenda,

exist. The Beautification Commission may direct staff
to investigate and/or schedule certain matters for
consideration at a future Commission meeting.

CEQA: The following items are not subject to the California Environmental Quality Act.
A. Discussion of Walnut Grove Avenue and Valley Boulevard Corridors Median Studies
– City Entry Monuments
As part of the Walnut Grove Avenue and Valley Boulevard Resurfacing projects,
technical feasibility studies were conducted to assess the integration of new raised
medians and bike lanes along both corridors. Staff presented a high-level overview of
the studies at a Special Joint meeting of the Traffic Commission and Beautification
Commission.
At the request of the Beautification Commission, staff is returning with the City Entry
Monument concepts for further discussion.
Recommendation: That the Beautification Commission review the proposed City Entry
Monument options and provide feedback.
B. Overview of Upcoming Events
Staff will provide an overview of upcoming events including the Annual Beautification
Awards, July 4th Chalkathon Contest, and National Night Out.
