Rosemead SAO Deputies attended Mental Health/ROAR and Autism training
provided by The Los Angeles County Sheriff Department Mental Evaluation
Team. The goal of the class is to enhance officer safety, improve
communication and ensure correct and positive encounters with autistic
individuals. Part of the curriculum of the class consisted with talking with
person(s) with autism and their personal encounters with law enforcement.
Wednesday
Rosemead SAO Deputes attended weekly meetings with LACADA regarding
problem areas regarding homeless encampments and individuals. Several
locations were checked in conjunction with code enforcement and LACADA
regarding homeless individuals.
Rosemead SAO Deputies conducted a search warrant in Rosemead with the Los
Angeles County Sheriff Department Narcotics Bureau.
Rosemead SAO Deputies conducted nighttime patrol checks of 8838 Valley Blvd
and 8933 Valley Blvd.
Rosemead SAO Deputy made an arrest at City Hall of local transient for
possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of shopping cart
during night patrol.

assigned Deputy Sheriff Trainees.

proclaim and recognize “National Police Week” for the city of Rosemead.
• Rosemead SAO Deputies and Temple Station Detectives executed a search
warrant at the 3000 block of Eckhart Avenue for a wanted assault with a deadly
weapon suspect. Suspect taken into custody.
• Rosemead SAO Deputies held an Advance Community Academy at the
Rosemead Substation and Temple Station.
• Rosemead SAO Deputies assisted with a shooting investigation that occurred at
the Friendly Inn Motel.

Major Crimes Bureau, regarding a large-scale luxury goods counterfeit
operation with connections to the San Gabriel Valley and Downtown Los
Angeles.

• Rosemead SAO Deputies conducted follow up investigation/surveillance
regarding recent active street takeover shooting.
Tuesday
• Rosemead SAO Deputies conducted a patrol check of 9010 Garvey Avenue,
Rosemead “Vikon” Center regarding homeless encampment complaint.
• Rosemead SAO Deputies conducted a patrol check of the Motel 6, Macy’s and
Walmart store in reporting district 0535.
• Rosemead SAO deputies responded to a suicidal male gunshot victim. Male was
disarmed and life saving measures were attempted prior the arrival of fire.
Male succumbed to self-inflicted injuries.
• Rosemead SAO Deputies monitored traffic on Rockhold Avenue and Dorothy
Street for “Stop” sign violations.
• Rosemead SAO Deputies held a briefing at Temple Station for newly assigned
trainees assigned to the station and the city of Rosemead.
Wednesday
• Rosemead SAO Deputes discussed high encampment locations with LACADA.
• Rosemead SAO Deputies responded to a shooting investigation that occurred
at the Friendly Inn Motel. One male sustained non-life threatening injuries.
• Rosemead SAO Deputies conducted a search warrant with Temple Station
Detectives regarding a wanted assault with a deadly weapon suspect. Suspect
was wanted for attacking another person with a butcher knife.
• Rosemead SAO Deputies in conjunction with Temple City SAO Deputies
attended a Zoom meeting with LAPD and several other police agencies
regarding exchanging intelligence to combat burglaries and other related
trends.
• Rosemead SAO Deputies responded to Pomona Court House to conduct
surveillance regarding a wanted burglary suspect out of the city of Rosemead.
Suspect was out of custody for other crimes but did not show up for court
matter.
• Rosemead SAO Deputies attended the Rosemead City Council meeting and
were recognized for National Police Week.
• Rosemead SAO Deputies took new team photo for newly assigned SAO
Deputies and introduced to the City Council and Mayor.
Thursday
• Rosemead SAO Deputies conducted a patrol check of reporting district 0532.
• Rosemead SAO Deputies responded to an active shooter at Richard Garvey
Intermediate. Rosemead SAO assisted with clearing the entire school. No active
shooter was located. One student was arrested for making false emergency
call.
• Patrol check of Jay Imperial Park at 2361 Pine Street, Rosemead.
• Rosemead SAO Deputies conducted follow-up surveillance regarding two active
shooting investigations in Rosemead.
• Rosemead SAO Deputies attended a Tip a Cop fundraiser event for Special
Olympics Southern California held by Temple Sheriff Station at the Cloverleaf
Coffee & Bakery.
Friday
• Rosemead SAO Deputies assisted with traffic control and security, including
participating in the annual Temple Sheriff Station Memorial torch relay run. The
torch relay run is an annual event held to honor the deputies and peace
officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

have been observed stealing from the businesses.

regarding recent street takeover shooting.
Tuesday
• Rosemead SAO Deputies conducted follow-up regarding the recent shooting at
the Friendly Inn motel.
• Rosemead SAO Deputies contacted Target asset protection officers and
coordinated a Retail Theft Operation.
• Rosemead SAO deputies assisted LACADA with identifying and contacting
unhoused individuals in need of mental health/outreach services.
• Rosemead SAO Deputies conducted traffic enforcement and monitored traffic
on Garvey Avenue and San Gabriel Boulevard.

• Rosemead SAO Deputes discussed high encampment locations with LACADA.

inspection. During the operation several violations were identified, as well as
several arrests were made for outstanding warrants.
• Rosemead SAO Deputies conducted an Advanced Community Academy at
Temple Sheriff's Station. The topic of the day was different methods used to
track missing or wanted individuals and narcotics.

• Rosemead SAO Deputies attended the area watch meeting for RD’s (0531,
0531).
• Rosemead SAO Deputies attended multiple court cases regarding crimes and
arrests conducted earlier in the year.
• Rosemead SAO Deputies responded to a robbery alarm at the “Kids Club
Development.”
• Rosemead SAO Deputies conducted undercover operations in the city of
Whittier and Anaheim. Rosemead SAO Deputies attempted to locate a wanted
burglary suspect for crimes committed in the city of Rosemead.

valuable tools for deputies to solve crime using AI technology.
• Rosemead SAO Deputies conducted an Advanced Community Academy where
attendees were given a tour of the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department
Communication Center (SCC) where all 911 calls are dispatched county wide. A
PowerPoint presentation was given to explain all duties conducted by SCC
personnel. A subsequent tour was also given at the Los Angeles County Sheriff
Department Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) facility at Bizcailuz Center.

• Rosemead SAO Deputies executed a multi-location search warrant with OSS
related to the street takeover shooting that occurred in April involving 4 victims
with gunshot wounds. Three persons(s) of interest were arrested related to the
incident.
Friday
• Rosemead SAO Deputies attended DOJ-mandated training on gang intelligence
• Rosemead SAO Deputies conducted undercover surveillance on a wanted
residential burglary suspect.
