Attached for your consideration is information regarding the annual Planning Conference sponsored
by the California Chapter of the American Planning Association (CCAPA). This year's conference is
being held in Palm Springs and is scheduled for October 17-20,2004. Seminar topics will range from
CEQA updates, regional housing needs assessments, housing element update, developing creative
development codes and zoning ordinances and regional planning issues.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council authorize the attendance of the Planning Director to the
annual CCAPA conference. '
