Sacramento Legislative Orientation Tour
January 10-12, 2005
The Sacramento Legislative Orientation Tour is in its 38th
year. The Sheraton Grand Sacramento Hotel, will once again
serve as our conference headquarters. We urge all members
- of the Association to attend. We want our concerns to be
considered and we are counting on your support. This may be
the most critical year for the Contract Cities and local
government in general. The outcome of Proposition IA will
dramatically impact local government and our relationship with the legislators.
The history of this tour has proven to be effective in not only developing
relationships with our legislators but it also provides us with the opportunity
for face to face contact and a vehicle for open discussion on pertinent issues.
The program will include small meetings with newly elected and returning
legislators; coffee sessions with members of the State Senate and Assembly
Leadership; and a reception in the Capitol Rotunda.
Remember, there is strength in numbers!
