The State maximum was increased on September 30, 2008 and the staff at Don Bosco believe that they are losing participants to surrounding communities that currently allow the payouts up to the $500 limit. Don Bosco is currently the only organization authorized to conduct bingo within the City. Staff Recommendation That the City Council adopt, Ordinance 896 authorizing the amendment to Section 5.20.110 of the Rosemead Municipal Code: Fiscal Impact The only direct costs associated with this item are the required publications in the San Gabriel Valley Tribune. Don Bosco has offered to fund half the costs of these required publications which are estimated at $500 in total. PUBLIC NOTICE PROCESS This item has been noticed through the regular agenda notification process and public notices have been published in the San Gabriel Valley Tribune as required.
