3. STUDY SESSION - RELOCATION ORDINANCE
Commi.ssion discussed ]relocation Permit - Use Restrictions,
It was the consensus of the Commission to incorporate into
the Rosemead ordinance Section 16.40.070 of the Monterey
Park Ordinance, changing the radius figure from "one thousand
feet" to "five hundred feet."
After discussion, Commission agreed to incorporate the following
conditions into the Rosemead ordinance:
(1) The 2nd paragraph from Sec. 91.92.2 of the original draft
of Rosemead's Ordinance, wording to include penalties as
City Attorney recommends.
(2) #1 from Monterey Park's ordinance Sec. 16.40.080, with
applicable changes.
(3) Sec. 8310.4 of wh:i.ttier's ordinance, through subsection (b),
with applicable changes.
(4) N3 from Monterey Park's ordinance Sec. 1.6.40.080, changed
to read: "No person shall move over any street within the
City of Rosemead any building or structure without :first
securing a permit from the Los,Angeles County Road Department.
(S) "The applicant shall, within 24 hours of receipt of a
Los Angeles County Road Department Moving Permit, submit a
copy to the Director of Planning of the City of Rosemead.
(6) Sec. 9192.4 of the original draft of the Rosemead ordinance,
omitting "under this Part."
(7) Sec. 9192.5 of the original draft of the Rosemead ordinance,
changed to read: "The building or structure shall be
completely set down and placed upon' its new foundation within
sixty (60) days from its date of arrival. at the new location.

be completed within sixty. (60) days after the building is placed
on the new foundation."
(8) From Sec. 9192.5 of the original draft of the Rosemead
ordinance, changed to read: "An extension of time may be
granted by the Director of Planning upon written application,
when such extension is required because of extensive remodeling
or additions, or because of circumstances beyond the control.

Commission agreed that under the "Applicat,i.on" section of the
new ordinance, #10 should be added incorporating language to the

the applicant with application.

Commissioner Ritchi.e.stated that Commission should set up standard
