AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ROSEMEAD DECLARING ROSEMEAD PUBLIC PARKS AS "DRUG-
FREE" ZONES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. A new section 10003 of the Rosemead Municipal Code is hereby
added to read as follows:
10003. City Parks Drug-Free Zones. Pursuant to Health & Safety
Code 511380.5, the City Council hereby designates the following
City Parks as Drug-Free Zones:
Rosemead Park
Garvey Park
Zapopan Park
Klingerman Park
Rosemead Community Center
Sally Tanner Park
Guess Park
Angelus Park
Triangle Park
Jess Gonzalez Sports Complex
Any person who is convicted of the possession for sale or the sale of
heroin, cocaine, cocaine base, methamphetamine, or phencyclidine (PCP), in
• addition to the punishment imposed for that conviction shall be imprisoned in
the state prison for an additional one year pursuant to Health & Safety Code
§11380.5.
Section 2. Notice of the Drug-Free Zone shall be posted in each of the
City Parks.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Ordinance.
