2) Those wishing to speak on any Agenda Item, should have their Speaker Request Form
submitted to the City Clerk no later than the time immediately following Oral
Communications.
3) Upon request, this agenda will be made available in appropriate alternative formats to
persons with disabilities, as required by Section 202 of the Americans with Disabilities
Act of 1990. Any person with a disability who requires a modification or
accommodation in order to participate in a meeting should direct such request to the City

L ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE
H. MATTERS FOR DISCUSSION AND ACTION
A. REVIEW OF CITY HALL REMODELING OPTIONS
Onyx Architects has been retained to provide architectural services for the
remodeling and expansion of City Hall. Before finalizing construction documents
and financing, Council input is sought concerning alternate design scenarios and
associated impacts.
Recommendation: After review and discussion of the item, it would be
appropriate to direct staff to proceed with completing design work based upon a
preferred design scenario.
B. AESTHETIC DESIGN CONSIDERATION FOR GARVEY AVENUE BRIDGE
On May 28, 2002, the Council authorized staff to begin the preparation of plans
and specifications for the reconstruction of Gamey Avenue Bridge over the Rio
Hondo. The plans are 90% complete. The City Council will now consider final
approval of the aesthetic design for the bridge.

C. STREET IMPROVEMENTS ON SAN GABRIEL BOULEVARD
Federal funding has been secured for street improvements on San Gabriel
Boulevard. The proposed improvements include street resurfacing, new sidewalk,
and installation of parkway trees and raised landscaped medians. The City
Council will consider approval of preliminary concepts and authorize staff to
conduct a community meeting.
Recommendation: Approve preliminary concept and authorize staff to conduct a
community meeting.
