A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD
GRANTING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT 80-205 FOR THE SALE OF ALCOHOLIC
BEVERAGES IN CONJUNCTION WITH "THE MELODY LOUNGE", LOCATED AT
8208 EAST GARVEY AVENUE, ROSEMEAD, CALIFORNIA.
THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Planning Commission of the City of Rosemead does hereby
find and determine that an application was duly filed by Manuel Ocampo request2~hg(-
the sale of alcoholic beverages for on-site consumption in conjunction with an
existing bar, known as "The Melody Lounge", and located at.-'
8208 East Garvey Avenue, Rosemead, California]
and that a public hearing was duly scheduled for December 1, 1980, at 7;30 p.m.,
in the Council Chambers of Rosemead City Hall, 8838 Valley Boulevard, Rosemead,
California; and that notice of the time,~,Ydate, place and purpose of the aforesaid
hearing was duly given; and that a public hearing was duly conducted at the afore-
mentioned time and place. -
Section 2. The Planning Commission further finds and determines that,
facts do exist as required by Section 9180, et. seq „ of the Ordinances of the
City of Rosemead, justifying the granting of a conditional use permit.
Section 3, The Planning Commission further finds:
1. The project is in harmony with the elements and objectives of the
General Plan.
2. The project will not be detrimental to the surrounding properties.
3. The project is desirable to the public convenience.
4. On the basis of evaluation, this project has been determined to be
a Class Nine Categorical Exemption under the provisions of CEQA.
A Notice of Exemption was filed with the County Clerk.
Section 4. Based on the aforementioned findings, the Commission hereby-
grants a Conditional Use Permit with respect to the property described in Section 1
of this Resolution, subject to the following conditions:
1. Applicantsshall apply for appropriate City of Rosemead Business
License and Occupancy Permit and satisfy all requirements therein.
2. All trash shall be stored, and property maintained in accordance with
Section 5401-5415 of the Rosemead Municipal Code.
3. All signs shall be in accordance with Section 9900-9913 of the
Rosemead Municipal Code.
4. This conditional use permit is approved for a period of two years,
at which time it may be reviewed for an extension without benefit of
a public hearing.
5. The applicant shall sign a notarized Affidavit of Agreement to the
above conditions within ten (10) days of approval' of this permit.
6. Applicant shall post a sign on the front of the building stating
"Parking in the Rear". Said sign shall be in compliance with Section
9900-9913 of the Rosemead Municipal Code.
1 Section 5. This action shall become final and effective ten (10) days
after this decision by the Planning Commission unless within such time a written
appeal is filed with the City Clerk for consideration by the Rosemead City Council,
as provided in the Zoning Ordinance.

Section 6. The secretary shall certify to the adoption of the Resolution
and shall transmit copies of same to the applicant and the Rosemead City Clerk.
