PC - 1980-41 - Zone Change A-1 to C-3D - Pomona Freeway on the North, Arroyo Drive on the South and West of San Gabriel BlvdPC RESOLUTION 80-41 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD, A CHANGE OF ZONE, FROM A-1, LIGHT AGRICULTURAL TO C-3D, MEDIUM COMMERCIAL, DESIGN OVERLAY, FOR PROPERTY GENERALLY BOUNDED BY THE POMONA FREEWAY ON THE NORTH, ARROYO DRIVE ON THE SOUTH, AND WEST OF SAN GABRIEL BOULEVARD,.IN THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD, CALIFORNIA, OR MORE SPECIFICALLY SET FORTH IN EXHIBIT "A". (ZONE CHANGE). THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, a petition of application for change of zone was duly submitted by the property owner, Chevron Land andDevelopment Company. WHEREAS, a public hearing was duly set and conducted in the council chambers of Rosemead City Hall on November 3, 1980, at 7:30 p.m., and that notice of time, date, place and purpose of hearing was given accordingly to law, WHEREAS, at said public hearing the Planning Commission determined the following findings to be in order: Section 1. The change of zone is in harmony with the elements and objectives of the General Plan. Section 2. The change of zone will not be detrimental to the surrounding properties. Section 3. The change of zone is desirable for the public convenience. Section 4. That a previously approved supplemental Environmental Impact Report was approved according to CEQA, and that minor changes or alterations to the project are within the responsibility and jurisdiction of another public agency and not the agency making the findings. Such changes have been adopted by such other agency or can and should be adopted by such other agency. A supplemental Environmental Impact Report has been previously reviewed and approved (Rosemead City Council Resolution 78-66), and in accordance with CEQA, Section 15067.5 and 15088 (a)(2), the Environmental Assessment for this consideration has been accomplished. THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That certain property located. in the City of Rosemead and more particularly described on Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference.be classified to Medium Commercial C-3D, Design Overlay. Section 2. That the Zoning Map of the City of Rosemead is to be amended by adding the additional zone classification described in Section 1 hereof, and said map shall have noted thereon., "Amended to R-3, on the date Council action became final". Section 3. The secretary shall certify to the adoption of the Resolution and transmit copies thereof to the City Clerk of the City of Rosemead. ADOPTED this 15th day of December , 1980. G. H.
