PC - 1980-09 - Granting Conditional Use Permit 80-181PC RESOLUTION 80-9 0 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD GRANTING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT 80-181. THE PLANNING COMMISSION.OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Planning Commission of. the City of Rosemead does hereby find and determine that an application was filed by Richard Bryant and Robert , Jimenez to request the sale.of antiques in conjunction with a coin shop, known as "Golden Eagle Coins", and located at. 8611 Valley Boulevard, Rosemead, California; and that a public.hearing was duly set for March 17, 1980, at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Rosemead. City Hall, 8838 Valley Boulevard, Rosemead, California and that notice of.the time, date, place and purpose of the afore- said hearing was.duly.given, and that a hearing was duly held at the aforementioned time and place, Section 2. The Planning Commission further finds and determines that facts do exist as required by Section 9180, et. seq., of the Ordinances of the City of Rosemead.justifying the granting of a conditional use permit. Section 3. The Planning .Commission .further finds: 1. The project is in harmony with the elements and objectives of the General Plan. 2. The project will not be detrimental to the surrounding properties. 3. The project is desirable.to the public convenience. Section 4. Based on.the aforementioned findings, the Commission hereby grants a.conditional use permit with respect to the property described in Section 1 of this Resolution, subject to the following conditions: 1. All items shall be subject to the definition of Section 9102.57 of the Rosemead-Municipal Code. 2. Sale, display and storage of antique merchandise shall be located within an enclosed building. 3. Any repair, refurbishing, or painting of antique merchandise shall be located to the rear of the retail display area. 4. This Conditional Use Permit shall expire in two (2) years from the date of issuance, except that the owner shall be entitled to a two-year extension if the Director of Planning finds the applicants' operation to be in conformity with the goals and purposes of Rosemead Municipal Code, Section 9183.2. 5. Within five (5) days after approval of this Conditional Use Permit the applicants shall submit a signed,,.notarized "Affidavit of Agreement" to the Planning Department. 6. This Conditional Use Permit shall be a personal permit issued to Richard Bryant and. Robert Jimenez and shall not be assignable voluntarily or involutarily and shall terminate upon assignment or upon the cessation of business by Richard Bruant and Robert _ Jimenez at the location described herein. 7. Two ,(2) parking spaces shall be designated for antique store parking only. Section 5. This action shall become final and effective ten (10) days after this decision by the Planning Commission unless within such time a written appeal is filed with the City Clerk for consideration by the Rosemead City Council as provided in the Zoning Ordinance. 0 PC Resolution 80-9 Page Two i Section 6.
