A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD
GRANTING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT 79-173.
THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Planning Commission of the City of Rosemead does hereby
find and determine that an application was filed by Shell Oil Company to request
compliance with Section 9184 et. seq., of the Rosemead Municipal Code, standards
for automobile service stations, for a service station located at:
3365 Walnut Grove Avenue, Rosemead, California;
and that a public hearing was duly set for February 4, 1980, at 7:30 p.m. in the
Council Chambers of Rosemead City Hall, 8838 Valley Boulevard, Rosemead, California,
and that notice of the time, place and purpose of the aforesaid hearing was duly
given, and that a hearing was duly held at the aforementioned time and placer
Section 2. The Planning Commission further finds and determines that
facts do exist as required by Section 9180 et. seq., of the Ordinances of the
City of Rosemead justifying the granting of a conditional use permit.
Section 3. The Planning Commission further finds:
1. The project is in harmony with the elements and objectives of the
General Plan.
2. The project will not be detrimental to the surrounding properties.
3. The project is desirable to the public convenience.
Section 4. Based on the aforementioned findings, the Commission hereby
grants a conditional use permit with respect to the property described in Section.-1
of this Resolution, subject to the following conditions:
1. Maintain the property in a clean and orderly fashion.
2. No portable or A-frame signs.
3. Remove, or move back, the free-standing sign advertising hours of
operation. At present it appears to be extending over the right-of-
way.

a period of three (3) years or until transfer should take place, at
which time the new owner would be required to renew this permit.
6. There shall be no storage of inoperable vehicles on the site for more
than seventy-two (72) hours.
7. All automotive repairs shall be conducted within the enclosed service
bays. No automobile repairs shall be done outside.
Section 5. This action shall become final and effective ten (10) days
after this decision by the Planning Commission unless within such time a written
appeal is filed with the City Clerk for consideration by the Rosemead City
Council as provided in the Zoning Ordinance.
Section 6. The secretary shall certify to the adoption of the Resolution
and shall transmit copies of same to the applicant and the Rosemead City Clerk.
