A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD GRANTING
CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT 81-227 FOR THE SALE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ON
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 8817 VALLEY BOULEVARD, ROSEMEAD, CALIFORNIA.
THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Planning Commission of the City of Rosemead does hereby
find and determine that an application was duly filed by Kuo Mei Investments, Inc..,
requesting the sale of alcoholic beverages for off-site consumption in conjunction
with an existing liquor store, known as "Doug's Liquor", and located at:
8817 valley Boulevard, Rosemead, California;
and that a public hearing was duly scheduled for June 15, 1981, at 7:30 p.m., in
the Council Chambers of Rosemead City Hall, 8838 Valley Boulevard, Rosemead,
California; and that notice of the time, date, place, and purpose of the aforesaid
hearing was duly given according to law; and that a public hearing was duly con-
ducted at the aforementioned time and place.
Section 2. The Planning Commission further finds and determines that
facts do exist as required by Section 9180., et. seq., of the Ordinances of the
City of Rosemead, justifying the granting of a conditional use permit.
Section 3. The Planning Commission further finds:
1. The project is in harmony with the elements and objectives of the
General Plan.
2. The project will not be detrimental to the surrounding properties.
3. The project is desirable to the public convenience.
4. On the basis of evaluation, this project has been determined to be
a Class Nine Categorical Exemption under the provisions of the
California Environmental Quality Act. A Notice of Exemption was
filed with the County Clerk.
Section 4. Based on the aforementioned findings, the Planning Commission
hereby grants a conditional use permit with respect to the property described in
Section 1 of this Resolution, subject to the following conditions:
1. :Apply for City of-.Rosemead Business License and Occupancy Permit.
2. Comply with the requirements of the Building/Fire Department.
3. This conditional use permit is approved for a two-year period, at
which time it may be reviewed for renewal by the Planning Commission
without a public hearing.
4. Within ten (10) days after approval, the applicant shall submit a
notarized Affidavit of Agreement to these conditions with the
Planning Department.
Section 5. This action shall become final and effective ten (10) days
after this decision by the Planning Commission, unless within such time, a written
appeal is filed with the City Clerk for hearing by the Rosemead City Council, as
provided in the Rosemead Zoning Ordinance.
Section 6. The secretary shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution
and transmit copies of same to the applicant and Rosemead City Clerk.
