A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD
GRANTING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT 81-223 FOR THE SALE OF ALCOHOLIC
BEVERAGES ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 8921 EAST VALLEY BOULEVARD, ROSEMEAD,
CALIFORNIA.
THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Planning Commission of the City of Rosemead does hereby
find and determine that an application was duly filed by Gloria Concialdi and
Randolph Merritt, requesting the sale of alcoholic beverages for on-site con-
sumption, in conjunction with an existing cocktail lounge, known as "The Silver
Mug", and located at:
8921 East Valley Boulevard, Rosemead, California;
and that a public hearing was duly scheduled for may 18, 1981, at 7:30 p.m., in
the Council Chambers of Rosemead City Hall, 8838 Valley Boulevard, Rosemead,
California; and that notice of the time, date, place, and purpose of the afore-
said hearing was duly given; and that a public hearing was duly conducted at the
aforementioned time and place.
Section 2. The Planning Commission further finds and determines that
facts do exist as required by Section 9180., et. seq., of the Ordinances of the
City of Rosemead,, justifying the granting of a conditional use permit.
Section 3. The Planning Commission further finds:
'1. The project is in harmony with the elements and objectives of the
General Plan.
2. The project will not be detrimental to the surrounding properties.
3. The project is desirable to the public convenience.
4. On the basis of evaluation, this project has been determined to be
a Class Nine,Categorical Exemption under the provisions of the
California Environmental Quality Act. A Notice of Exemption was
filed with the County Clerk.
Section 4. Based on the aforementioned findings, the Planning Commission
hereby grants a conditional use permit with respect to the property described in
Section 1 of this Resolution, subject to the following conditions:
1. The applicant secure and comply with conditions of all licenses
associated with said business, i.e., occupancy, Business License,
and Alcoholic Beverage Control.
2. Maintain the property and rear parking area in a clean,.litter, and
weed free state at all times.
3. The Conditional Use Permit shall be approved for a period of two
(2) years, at which time it may be reviewed by the Planning Com-
mission for extension without benefit of public hearing.
4. install a light in the driveway, to be lit from dusk to 2:00 a.m.
Section 5. This action shall become final and effective ten (10) days
after this decision by the Planning Commission, unless within such time, a written
appeal is filed with the City Clerk for hearing by the Rosemead City Council, as
provided in the Rosemead Zoning Ordinance.
Section 6. The secretary shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolution and transmit copies of same to the applicant and Rosemead City Clerk.
