A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD
GRANTING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT 81-213 FOR A BILLIARD PARLOR AND
GAME ARCADE ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 9766 EAST VALLEY BOULEVARD,
ROSEMEAD, CALIFORNIA.
THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS: '
Section 1. The Planning Commission of the City of Rosemead does hereby
find and determine that an application was duly filed by Leoneed Gordon requesting
the continued use of a billiard parlor/game arcade, known as the "Karom 6 Kue",
and located at:
9766 East Valley Boulevard, Rosemead, California;
and that a public hearing was duly scheduled for March 2, 1981, at 7:30 p.m., in
the Council Chambers of Rosemead City Hall, 8838 Valley Boulevard, Rosemead,
California; and that notice of the time, date, place, and purpose of the aforesaid
hearing was duly given according to law; and that a public hearing was duly con-
ducted at the aforementioned time and place.
Section 2. The Planning Commission further finds and determines that
facts do exist as required by Section 9180, et. seq., of the ordinances of the
City of Rosemead, justifying the granting of a conditional use permit.
Section 3. The Planning Commission further finds:
1. The project is in harmony with the elements and objectives of the
General Plan.
2. The project will not be detrimental to the surrounding properties.
3. The project is desirable to the public convenience.
4. On the basis of evaluation, this project has been determined to be
a Class Nine Categorical Exemption under the provisions of CEQA.
A Notice of Exemption was filed with the County Clerk.
Section 4. Based on the aformentioned findings, the Planning Commission
hereby grants a conditional use permit with respect to the property described in
Section 1 of this Resolution, subject to the following conditions:
1. Applicants shall apply for a City of Rosemead Business License and
Occupancy Permit, and comply with the requirements of these Depart-
ments.
2. Remove graffiti along easterly wall.
3. Arcade use shall remain limited to twelve (12) machines.
4. This conditional use permit shall be granted for a two-year period
and may be reviewed for extension by the Planning Commission with-
out benefit of a public hearing.
5. Within ten days of approval, the applicant shall submit a notarized
Affidavit of Agreement to all conditions.
Section 5. This action shall become final and effective ten (10) days
after this decision by the Planning Commission unless within such time a written
appeal is filed with the City Clerk for consideration by the Rosemead City Council,
as provided in the Zoning Ordinance.
Section 6. The secretary shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution
and shall transmit copies of same to the applicant and Rosemead City Clerk.
