PC RESOLUTION 82-10
FOLLOWS:
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD,
GRANTING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT 81-241, FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A
CHURCH ON A VACANT LOT LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF SAN GABRIEL
BOULEVARD BETWEEN NORTH LAWRENCE AVENUE AND ROSE GLEN AVENUE,
ROSEMEAD, CALIFORNIA.
THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS
Section 1. The Planning Commission of the City of Rosemead does hereby
find and determine that an application was duly filed.by the Evergreen Baptist
Church requesting the establishment of a church on a vacant lot on the south
side of San Gabriel Boulevard, between North Lawrence Avenue and Rose Glen Avenue;
or more particularly known as:
Map Book No. 5275, Page 15, Parcels 34 and 35;
and that a public hearing was duly scheduled for February 1, 1982 and continued to
March 15, 1982, at 7:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of Rosemead City Hall, 8838
Valley Boulevard, Rosemead, California; and that notice of the time, date, place
and purpose of the aforesaid hearing was duly given; and that a public hearing was
duly conducted at the aforementioned time and place.
Section 2. The Planning Commission further finds and determines that
facts do exist as required by Section 9180., et. seq., of the Ordinances of the
City of Rosemead, justifying the granting of a conditional use permit.
Section 3. The Planning Commission further finds:
1. The project is in harmony with the elements and objectives of the
General Plan.
2. The project will not be detrimental to the surrounding properties.
3. The project is desirable to the public convenience.
4. A Negative Declaration was prepared for this project, pursuant to
the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act.
Section 4. Based on the aforementioned findings, the Planning Commission
hereby grants a conditional use permit with respect to the property described in
Section 1, subject to the following conditions:
1. Applicants shall submit a precise development plan in accordance with
Section 9120.4 of the PD, Planned Development zone,.and receive
approval of said development plan prior to any implementation of the
project.
2. Seating in the temporary sanctuary for Phase I shall be limited to
400 seats or less, depending upon the Fire Department requirement.
Section 5. This action shall become final and effective ten (10) days
after this decision by the Planning Commission, unless within such time, a written
appeal is filed with the City Clerk for consideration by the Rosemead City Council,
as provided in the Zoning Ordinance.
Section 6. This resolution is the result of an action taken by the
Planning Commission on March 15, 1982, by the following vote:
AYES: De Cocker, Ritchie, Lowrey, Mattern
NOES: Schymos
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None
Section 7. The secretary shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution
and shall transmit copies of same to the applicant and Rosemead City Clerk.
