A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD, GRANTING
CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT 82-252 ALLOWING THE SALE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES
ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2428 NORTH SAN GABRIEL BOULEVARD, ROSEMEAD,
CALIFORNIA.
THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Planning Commission of the City of Rosemead does hereby
find and determine that an application was duly filed by Angelina Martinez and
Maria Valdez for the sale of alcoholic beverages for off-site consumption, in
conjunction with an existing mini-market/delicatessen, known as "La Campanita",
and located at:
2428 North San Gabriel Boulevard, Rosemead, California;
and that a public hearing was duly scheduled for December 6, 1982, at 7:30 p.m., in
the Council Chambers of Rosemead 'City Hall, 8838 Valley Boulevard, Rosemead,
California; and that notice of the time, date, place, and purpose of the aforesaid
hearing was duly given according to law; and that a public hearing was duly conducted
at the aforementioned time and place.
Section 2. The Planning Commission further finds-and determines that facts
do exist as required by Section 9180., et. seq., of the Ordinances of the City of
Rosemead, justifying the granting of a conditional use permit.
Section 3. The Planning Commission further finds:
1. The project is in harmony with the elements and objectives of the
General Plan.
2. The project will not be detrimental to the surrounding properties.
3. The project is desirable to the public convenience.
4. On the basis of evaluation, this project has been determined to be a
Class 9 categorical exemption under the provisions of the California
Environmental Quality Act.
Section 4. Based on the aformentioned findings, the Planning Commission
hereby grants a conditional use permit with respect to the property described in
Section 1, subject to the following conditions:
1. The applicant shall apply for appropriate City of Rosemead Business
License.
2. Maintain the property in a clean and litter-free state in accordance
with Sections 5401-5415 of the Rosemead Municipal Code.
3. This conditional use permit shall be approved for a period of one (1)
year at which time it may be reviewed for renewal by the Planning
Commission without a public hearing.
4. This permit is not transferable to future owners and/or occupants.
5. Comply with all requirements from the Building, Fire and Health
Departments.
6. Within ten (10) days of approval of this conditional use permit, the
applicant shall submit a notarized Affidavit of Agreement to all
conditions contained herein.
7. Consumption of alcoholic beverages or food on the premises shall not
be allowed.
8. Provide a means to monitor the refrigerator per approval of the
Director of Planning.
9. All signs shall be maintained in good condition and repair and shall
pose no hazard to public safety statues, standards and ordinances, as
mandated in Section 9902 (g) of the Zoning Ordinance.

Section 5. This action shall become final and effective ten (10) days
after this decision by the Planning Commission, unless within such time, a written
appeal is filed with the City Clerk for consideration by the Rosemead City Council,
as provided in the Zoning Ordinance.
Section 6. This resolution is the result of an action taken by the Planning
Commission on December 6, 1982, by the following vote:
AYES: De Cocker, Schymos, Ritchie, Lowrey, Mattern

ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None.
Section 7. The secretary shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution
and.shall transmit copies of same to the applicant and Rosemead City Clerk.
