FOLLOWS :
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ROEEMEAD, AMENDING
PC RESOLUTION 81-38, AND GRANTING AN EXTENSION OF CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT
81-232, FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A CHURCH ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT
3926 RIO HONDO AVENUE, ROSEMEAD, CALIFORNIA.
THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ROESMEAD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS
Section 1. The Planning.Commission of the City of.Rosemead does hereby
find and determine that an application was duly filed by Tensho-Kotai-Jingu-Kyo,
Southern California Division, requesting a three (3) year extension for Conditional
Use Permit 81-232, which allows the establishment of a church in an R-1 zone, on
property located at:
3926 Rio Hondo Avenue, Rosemead, California;
and that a public hearing was duly scheduled for October 18, 1982, at 7:30 p.m., in the
Council Chambers of Rosemead City Hall, 8838 Valley Boulevard, Rosemead, California;
and that notice of the time, date, place and purpose of the aforesaid hearing was duly
given according to law; and that a public hearing was duly conducted at the aforementioned
time and place.
Section 2. The Planning Commission further finds and determines that facts
do exist as required by Section 9180., et. seq., of the Ordinances of the City of
Rosemead, justifying the granting of an extension of the conditional use permit.
Section 3. The Planning Commission further finds:

1. The project is in harmony with the elements and objectives of the
General Plan.
2. The project will not be detrimental to the surrounding properties.
3. The project is desirable to the public convenience.
4. A Negative Declaration was prepared and adopted by the Rosemead
Planning Commission at the time of the original approval, October 5, 1981.
Said Negative Declaration was prepared in compliance with Rosemead
Resolution 75-28', CEQA, and the guidelines for the implementation of
CEQA.
Section 4. Based on the aforementioned findings, the Commission hereby
grants an extension to the conditional use permit with respect to the property
described in Section 1, subject to the following amended conditions:
1. All conditions contained in.PC Resolution 81-38, (Exhibit "A", attached),
with the exception of Conditions 2, 3, 7 and 11, which are hereby
modified as set forth herein.
* 2.. Religious gatherings shall,be restricted to Sundays between the hours
of 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p'.m., with the exception of the following
special religious days:
January 1, February 9, March 30, April 27,. July 22, August 12, and
December 28
On dates falling on a weekday, the meetings shall be held between
7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. On dates falling on Saturday, Sunday or a
national holiday, the meetings shall be held between 10:00 a.m. and
12:00 p.m. (noon).
3. The occupancy limit for conducting religious services shall not exceed
forty-five (45) persons.
7. The existing block wall fence on the easterly property line shall
be allowed to remain in place.
11. This conditional use permit shall be granted for a period of three (3)
years at which time it shall be reviewed by the Planning Commission
for consideration of an extension, without a public hearing.
*Amended by the Planning Commission, November 1, 1982 by adding "noon" after "12:00 p.m."

Section 5. This action shall become final and effective ten (10) days
after this decision by the Planning Commission, unless within such time, a written
appeal is filed with the City Clerk for consideration by.the Rosemead City Council,
as provided, in the Zoning Ordinance.
Section 6. This resolution is the result of an action taken by the
Planning Commission at it's regular meeting, held on October 18, 1982, by the
following vote:
AYES: De Cocker, Ritchie, Lowrey, Mattern
NOES: Schymos
Section 7. The secretary shall certify to the adoption of this resolution
and shall transmit copies of same to the applicant and Rosemead City Clerk.
