A. HEARING ON PROPERTIES

1. 3461 Bartlett Avenue
On January 17, 2006, the property at 3461 Bartlett Avenue was declared substandard
by the Building Official. After nearly seven months, compliance has still not been
achieved.
Recommendation: That the Board find the property substandard and order all
substandard conditions be removed and/or corrected by August 1, 2006. However, if
plans are submitted, permits are obtained, and sufficient progress is achieved by
August 1, 2006, the abatement date may be extended to September 1, 2006.

Guest House
Substandard Conditions
Guest house is dilapidated/damaged and unsightly and requires repair or should be
demolished. A full set plans is required showing framing and floor plan. Verify with
Planning Department if guest house will be allowed to be rebuilt and to what extend.
2. Addition at front of guest house was constructed without without the required approvals
and permits.
Electrical and plumbing to the guest house requires to be upgrades.
Carport/Patio Cover

Carport has been altered without the required permits and approvals.

A permit record search from Los Angeles County is recommended. Enclosed are instructions
on where to obtain this information.
Access to the entire interior of guest house was not gained. Therefore, additional substandard
conditions and building code violations may become evident during subsequent site visits.
PERMITS ARE REQUIRED for repairs and may be obtained at the Building Department from
7:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M., Monday through Thursday, and from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., Thursdays.
