A 1. RESOLUTION NO. 2004-03 CLAIMS AND DEMANDS
Recommendation: Adopt Resolution No. 2004-03 for payment of
Commission expenditures.
2. PRESENTATION BY HOGLE-IRELAND - HISTORY OF THE
CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENT QUALITY ACT (CEQA) AND THE
IMPLEMENTATION MEASURES OF CEQA AS IT RELATES TO
LOCAL LAND USE PLANNING PROCESSES AND STATE
ENVIRONMENT IMPACT REPORT (EIR) GUIDELINES
The City has several planning related projects/programs that will require
extensive environmental review under CEQA. This presentation will
provide the Commission with an informative review of State
environmental law and regulations.

GARVEY AVENUE CONCEPT PLANS - LANDWIN INVESTMENTS
The City has received conceptual plans to develop the northwest corner of
San Gabriel Boulevard/Garvey Avenue. The proposed development is for
the construction of a mixed-use project of approximately 5 acres. The

conceptual design consists of a mix of family and senior residential

condominiums, a hotel, commercial/retail shops and restaurants.
Recommendation: That the Commission find that the subject concept
plan is consistent with the goals of the redevelopment plan subject to
determining that the traffic, environmental and architectural design studies
indicate the project is feasible.
