The regular meeting of the Rosemead Community Development Commission was called to order
by Chairman Vasquez at 7:55 p.m. in the conference room of City Hall, 8838 E. Valley
Boulevard, Rosemead, California,
The Pledge to the flag was led by Chairman Vasquez
The Invocation was delivered by Commissioner Taylor

Absent: Commissioners Alarcor and Clark, both excused
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: DECEMBER 10, 2002 - REGULAR MEETING

OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD ALLOWING CERTAIN CLAIMS AND
DEMANDS IN THE SUM OF $44,828.10 AND DEMANDS NO. 7013

2. REJECTION OF BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF PRE-SCHOOL
RESTROOMS AT THE ROSEMEAD COMMUNITY CENTER
Commissioner Taylor asked why the bids were higher than the Engineer's estimate?
Michael Burbank, Director of Parks and Recreation, replied that it may be due to the
short time span allotted for receiving bids.
MOTION BY COMMISSIONER TAYLOR, SECOND BY COMMISSIONER
IMPERIAL that the bids be rejected and that staff be authorized to re-bid this project. Vote
resulted:
