RE: DISCUSSION OF LETTER OF INTEREST FROM STARBUCKS COFFEE
REGARDING THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF VALLEY BOULEVARD
AND ROSEMEAD BOULEVARD
This item is being placed on the Agency Agenda for discussion purposes. As the attached letter
indicates, Starbucks is very interested in leasing the northwest comer of the property at the
northwest corner of Valley Boulevard and Rosemead Boulevard, which would include the liquor
store and furniture store. They are interested in either a freestanding building with a drive thru
or a end cap of a multi tenant building.
Staff is requesting direction from the Agency on whether you would like us to begin discussion
with the current owner of the property. Also attached is a map of the property.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Rosemead Redevelopment Agency direct staff to contact both the
property owner and the representative of Starbucks regarding the property.

On behalf of my client, Starbucks Coffee, I am writing you this letter to notify you of their interest in
leasing space on the existing gas station lot on the NWC of Valley/Rosernead. Our preference is to lease a
1,500 square feet freestanding building with a drive thru. If this scenario does not work, we would be
willing to take 1,500 square feet on an end cap of a multi tenant building with a drive thru or 1,500 square
feet on an end cap of a multi tenant building without a drive thru.
I ask that once you have a drawing of the proposed layout of the space and the timing is more appropriate
for us to submit a formal proposal that you please contact me at 310/451-8171.
