A. RESOLUTION NO. 2000-18 -CLAIMS AND DEMANDS
Recommendation: Adopt Resolution No. 2000-18, for payment of City expenditures.
RESOLUTION NO. 2000-19 - DELTA AVENUE STORM
DRAIN/MISCELLANEOUS TRANSFER DRAIN NO. 1304, STORM DRAIN
TRANSFER TO LOS ANGELES COUNTY FOR MAINTENANCE
Adoption of this resolution is required to request the Los Angeles County Board of
Supervisors to accept the transfer of the Delta Avenue Storm Drain to Los Angeles
County Department of Public Works for operation and maintenance.
Recommendation: Approve and adopt Resolution No. 2000-19; request the Los
Angeles County Board of Supervisors to accept the transfer of MTD 1304 for operation
and maintenance, and authorize the transfer and conveyance.

Co//RESOLUTION NO. 2000-20 - KELBURN AVENUE STORM
DRAIN/MISCELLANEOUS TRANSFER DRAIN NO. 1565; STORM DRAIN
TRANSFER TO LOS ANGELES COUNTY FOR MAINTENANCE
Adoption of this resolution is required to request the Los Angeles County Board of
Supervisors to accept the transfer of the Kelburn Avenue Storm Drain to Los Angeles
County Department of PublicWorks for operation and maintenance.
Recommendation: Approve and adopt Resolution No. 2000-20; request the Los
Angeles County Board of Supervisors to accept the transfer ofMTD 1565 for operation
and maintenance, and authorize the transfer and conveyance.
~D. ORDINANCE NO. 803
Ordinance No. 803 was introduced to the Council for first reading at the April I la'
meeting, approving Zone Change 99-211 for 3038 N. San Gabriel Boulevard.
Recommendation: Adopt Ordinance No. 803
IV. CONSENT CALENDAR - RECOMMENDATION: APPROVAL
RELEASE OF BONDS - PARCEL MAP 21464; 3059 JACKSON AVENUE
A Faithful Performance Bond and a Labor Bond and Material Bond was required to
guarantee construction of sewer house lateral. In lieu of bonds, a Certificate of Deposit
was issued to the City in the amount of $1,950. The improvements have been installed
satisfactorily.
Recommendation: Authorize refund of the Certificate of Deposit, including accrued
interest.
C~B AUTHORIZATION TO REJECT CLAIM AGAINST THE CITY FROM
THANH LE LY
Incident involves City driven vehicle rear-ending claimant's vehicle.
Recommendation: The City's insurance adjusters, Carl Warren & Company,
recommends rejection of the claim.
Qt-C AUTHORIZATION TO REJECT CLAIM AGAINST THE CITY FROM TAO
LAU
Claimant ran over two separate indentations on road causing damage to vehicles rim. It
was determined that the excavation work was being conducted by Pacific Bell. The
claimant was referred to them.
Recommendation: The City's insurance adjusters, Carl Warren & Company
reco mends rejection of the claims.
C -D AUTHORIZATION TO ATTEND ANNUAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
PLANNING CONFERENCE, MAY 4-6, 2000, PALM SPRINGS
This conference provides the City with an opportunity to brief the Chamber on the City's
goals and objectives for FY 2000-01.
Recommendation: Authorize the attendance of any Councilmember, the City Manager
and staff as designated by the City Manager.

CC-E"e PROVAL OF AGREEMENT FOR THE SUMMER YOUTH LUNCH
PROGRAM
The San Gabriel School District, in conjunction with the City, will provide
lunches to participants 18 years of age and younger at Rosemead and Garvey
Parks and other recreation sites this summer.
Recommendation: Approve the Agreement and authorize its execution by the Mayor.
