INTRODUCTION
The adoption of the Redevelopment Plan for Redevelopment Project Area No..
2 requires that the Agency and City Council conduct a public hearing on the
Plan.. .
STATEMENT OF FACT
Based upon Health and Safety Code requirements, the City Council and the.
Redevelopment Agency must consider, at a public hearing; the adoption of
the Redevelopment Plan for Redevelopment. Area Project No. 2. A notice of
the public hearing must be published in a newspaper of general circulation
and a copy of the notice is required to be mailed, by first-class mail, to the
last known assessee of each parcel of land in the area designated in the
Redevelopment Plan. 'Additionally, the notice is required to be mailed to all
residents and businesses within the Project Area by first-class mail and to
the governing body of each taxing agency by certified mail.
Through the adoption of the attached resolution, the Agency will establish
the time, date and place of the public hearing for Redevelopment Project
Area No. 2 as follows:

SUMMARY
Based upon Health and Safety Code requirements, the City, Council and the
Redevelopment Agency must consider, at a public hearing, the adoption of
the Redevelopment Plan for Redevelopment Project Area No. 2. Adoption of
the attached resolution will meet the requirements of the Community
Redevelopment Law and will establish the time, date and place of the public
hearing for Redevelopment Project Area No. 2
RECOMMENDATION
It is staffs recommendation that the City Council adopt. the attached
Resolution consenting to a Joint Public Hearing on the Redevelopment Plan
for Redevelopment Project Area No. 2 and the Environmental Impact Report.
RESOLUTION NO. 2000-25
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ROSEMEAD CONSENTING TO A JOINT PUBLIC HEARING WITH
THE ROSEMEAD REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY WITH RESPECT TO
THE REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA NO. 2 AND THE
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT PREPARED IN CONNECTION
THEREWITH
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemead (the "City Council") has
initiated proceedings for the adoption of the Redevelopment Plan for Redevelopment
Project Area No. 2 (the "Project"); and
WHEREAS, the Rosemead Redevelopment Agency (the "Agency") and the City
Council must hold a joint public hearing on the proposed Project; and
WHEREAS, Section 33349 of the Community Redevelopment Law requires that a
notice of said public hearing be published in a newspaper of general circulation and be
mailed to each property owner, resident, business, and affected taxing agency.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Rosemead as follows:
Section 1: The City Council of the City of Rosemead hereby consents to a Joint
Public Hearing with the Rosemead Redevelopment Agency on the proposed Redevelopment
Plan for Redevelopment Project Area No. 2 and the Environmental Impact Report prepared
in connection therewith, at the following date, time, and place:

Section 2: The City Clerk is authorized and directed to assist the Secretary of
the Agency to give notice of such public hearing in the form and manner required by law.
