Attached for your consideration is information regarding the aforementioned seminar. This
year's theme is "Protecting our Water Resources and Determining the Appropriate Waste
Recycling Accounting Process & Plan". The Council has attended this seminar in the past.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council authorize the attendance of any Council Member, City
Manager and staff designees.

We have organized a tour of Hearst Castle in San Simeon and IMAX movie "Building. the':
Dream". The movie showcases the rich history of Hearst Castle and the surrounding'area.
William Randolph Hearst and his spectacular Hearst Castle are the subjects of this extraordinary,
large-format film. Also, dinner at Black Mountain Restaurant at the Morro Bay Golf Course.
The 10`s Annual "Jack Parks Memorial" Golf Tournament co-chaired by Ray Smith of Bellflower
and Margaret Estrada of Lomita will be held on Friday September 22, 2000 at the Morro Bay
Golf Course, one of the finest golf courses in California. It is an extremely challenging and tough
course. A real eolfina adventure. 580.00 golf fee includes, 1/2 golf cart, tee prizes, lunch,
trophies and reception. (60 players only--first-come, first-serve). (See entry forms attached).
