OF INTEREST TO CITIZENS WISHING TO PARTICIPATE
1) Those wishing to speak on any Agenda Item, including public hearings, should have their
Speaker Request Form submitted no later than the time immediately following Oral
Communications.
2) Immediately after approval of the minutes and again at the end of the meeting, there is a
period of time set aside for those persons wishing to address the Council on matters not

2001 -2002
Approve the City's proposed reallocation of CDBG funds for FY 2001 -2002 and
authorize this as an amendment to the City's Annual Funding.

A. R OLUTION NO. 2002-11 - CLAIMS AND DEMANDS
Recommendation: Adopt Resolution No. 2002 -11, for payment of City expenditures.
B. I RESOLUTION NO. 2002 -12 —A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE A
l PORTION OF ALLEY NORTH OF GARVEY AVENUE (DEL MAR
AVENUE/] 96.46 FEET WEST SOUTHWEST OF DEL MAR AVENUE) AND
SETTING A PUBLIC UE-ARING ON THE PROPOSED VACATION
By adopting this resolution, the City Council declares its intent to vacate the
subject alley and sets the time and hour of the public hearing on the proposed
vacation.
Recommendation: Adopt Resolution No. 2002 -12.
IV. CONSENT CALENDAR - RECOMMENDATION: APPROVAL
&C -A AUTHORIZATION TO REJECT CLAIMS FROM CATI- IE-RINE AND
LAWRENCE PANARELLI
Claimants allege that they were struck by the Shopper Shuttler bus. The City's
claims adjuster, Carl Warren & Company has recommended rejection of these
claims.
Recommendation: Rejection of claims.
CC -B AUTHORIZATION TO REJECT CLAIMS AGAINST THE CITY FROM
HONG BUM CHOI AND KIE SOK C1101
The claimant alleges that his vehicle struck an open trench causing damage to his
tires and rims. The City's claims adjuster, Carl Warren & Company has
recommended rejection of these claims.
Recommendation: Rejection of claims.
/ �CC-C APPROVAL OF PROPOSAL TO PROVIDE ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR
TRAFFIC SIGNAL MODIFICATIONS AT WALNUT GROVE AVENUE AND
HELLMAN AVENUE /RAMONA BOULEVARD AND INSTALLATION OF
TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT HELLMAN AVENUE/ -10 /ON -OFF RAMP
A traffic study found that a traffic signal is warranted at the Hellman Avenue /I -10
On/Off Ramps.
This proposal provides for engineering design and construction management
services for traffic signal improvements at Walnut Grove Avenue and Hellman
Avenue /Ramona Boulevard /I -10 On -Off Ramps.
Recommendation: Approve the engineering proposal and direct staff to begin
the preparation of the necessary plans and specifications.
