AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD
APPROVING A CHANGE OF ZONE FROM R-3 TO C-3 FOR PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 7411 HELLMAN AVENUE (ZC 89-168)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council finds, determines and declares:
(a) An application for a change of zone from R-3 to C-3 was duly
filed by applicant Gene-Jac, Inc., for property located at 7411 Hellman Avenue
and more particularly described on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated
herein by this reference; and
(b) A public hearing was duly held before the Planning Commission on
August 7, 1989, at which time the Commission recommended approval of said
request; and
(c) That on October 10, 1989, the City Council conducted a duly
noticed public hearing on said zone change request.
Section 2. The City Council further finds:
(a) That the change in zone from R-3 to C-3 is consistent with the
goals, objectives and land use designation of the subject area as contained in
the City's General Plan; and
• (b) That a Negative Declaration was prepared in accordance with State
law and local regulation. The Negative Declaration was approved by the
Planning Commission.
Section 3. The City Council hereby approves Zone Change 89-168 from R-3 to
C-3 for property located at 7411 Hellman Avenue and more particularly described
in Exhibit "A" attached hereto.
Section 4. The Zoning Map of the City of Rosemead is hereby amended to
reflect the approved change of zone on the effective date of this ordinance.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance
and cause the same to be processed according to State law.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 28th day of November 1989.
