AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ROSEMEAD AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL
CODE BY ADOPTING LAND USE REGULATIONS
FOR CAR WASHES.
FOLLOWS:
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES ORDAIN AS
Section 1. Section 9181.1 (35) is hereby added to the
Municipal Code to read as follows:
35. Car Washes (full service and self service) in the C-3 zone,
subject to the following requirements:
A. The architecture of the development shall reflect a
sensitivity to the character of the surrounding
neighborhood and attempt, where feasible, to be
consistent with, or complementary to, neighborhood
character.
B. All setback areas, except where used as walkways or
drive aisles for vehicles, shall be suitably landscaped
and provided with an automatic sprinkler system and
moisture-sensing devices.
C. At the discretion of the Director of Planning, a
. complete traffic report from a California Licensed
Traffic Engineer shall be submitted to, and reviewed
by, the Traffic Engineer and the Planning Commission
prior to consideration of the C.U.P. Said report shall
be paid for wholly by the applicant, with present and
potential traffic levels identified, and shall include
specific recommendations to mitigate any potential
impacts anticipated from the proposed project.
D Water conservation and anti-spillage plans shall be
submitted and approved by the Director of Planning.
Section 2. The City Clerk will certify to the passage
and adoption of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be posted
in the manner required by law.
