AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ROSEMEAD ADOPTING BUILDING, GRADING,
REHABILITATION, ELECTRICAL, PLUMBING, AND
MECHANICAL PERMIT FEES AND AMENDING THE
ROSEMEAD MUNICIPAL CODE
AS FOLLOWS:
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES ORDAIN
Section 1. Chapter 1 of Article V111 is amended by
amending Section 8103 to read
8103 Amendment to Building Code Fees Notwithstanding
provisions of Section 8100 of the Rosemead Municipal Code, Section
304(a) to 304 (f), Tables 3A, 3B, and 99A shall be amended to read as
follows:
(a) Each and every most current fee set forth by Los
Angeles County Title 26 Fee Schedule in Section 304(a) to 304(f),
Tables 3A, 3B, and 99A shall be increased fifty percent.
Section 2, Chapter 2 of Article VIII is amended by
amending Section 8202 to read
8202 Amendment to Electrical Code Fees
Notwithstanding provisions of Section 8200 of the Rosemead Municipal
Code, Section 82-8 shall be amended to read as follows:
(a) Each and every most current fee set forth by Los
Angeles County Title 27 Fee Schedule in Section 82-8 shall be
increased fifty percent.
Section 3, Chapter 3 of Article VIII is amended by
amending Section 8302 to read
8302 Amendment to Plumbing Code Fees Notwithstanding
the provisions of Section 8300 of the Rosemead Municipal Code,
Section 59, Tables 1 and 2, 60 and 81 shall be amended to read as
is follows:
(a) Each and every most current fee set forth by Los
Angeles County Title 28 in Section 59, Tables 1 and 2, 60 and 81
shall be increased fifty percent.
Section 4, Chapter 4 of Article VIII is amended by
amending Section 8402 to read

8402 Amendment to Mechanical Code Fees Notwithstanding the
provisions of Section 8400 of the Rosemead Municipal Code, Section
304 shall be amended to read as follows:
(a) Each and every most current fee set forth by Los Angeles
County Title 29 Fee Schedule in Section 304 shall be increased by
fifty percent.
Section 5 This ordinance shall become operative sixty (60) days
from the adoptive date.

40 Plan Check Fee
1. A plan checking fee as indicated shall be paid to the
Building Official at the time of submitting plans and
specifications for work described in this subsection. Said fee
shall be equal to 40 percent of the required plumbing
permit fee as set forth in Table 1 of this Article.

proposed, a surcharge shall be collected for each of these

Plan Check Fee
The Mechanical Code requires plan check fees to be paid at the
time of submitting plans and specifications for:
1. Installations where the aggregate BTU input capacity for
either comfort heating or comfort cooling is more than
500,000 BTU. Plans shall detail all the mechanical systems
proposed, including comfort heating and comfort cooling
systems,. refrigeration systems, and ventilation systems and
hoods.
The plan check fee shall be 50 percent of the required
mechanical permit fee.
The minimum plan checking fee (including all surcharges)
shall be $100.95.
EXCEPTION: Identical appliances of 100,000 BTU or
less, installed in a single building:

Plan Check Fee
The fee shall be equal to 70 percent of the required electrical

The fee for each tenant improvement plan check (installations
requiring review to verify compliance with the State's Electrical
Energy Conservation requirements (Title 24), when a building
permit is not required for that work, shall be $12.45 for each 1,000
square feet; provided, however, the minimum fee shall be $50.55.
Investigation fee for work without a permit shall be equal to the
permit fee, but not less thank $310.80, except for one and two-
family dwellings structures wired by owner-builder, fee will be
$155.40.
