Recommendation: Adopt Resolution No. 01 -01, for payment of City expenditures.

Claimant was involved in a vehicle accident at an intersection. She indicated that
the traffic signal lights were not functioning property.
Recommendation: Rejection of claim.

t CC_B A HORIZ� PURCHASE AND INSTALL LED TRAFFIC SIGNAL
LIGHTS
The City has been granted funds to replace existing incandescent traffic signal
lights with energy savings light emitting diodes. It is proposed that the LEDs be
purchased through another public agency's purchase agreement and installed by
the City's traffic signal maintenance contractor.
Recommendation: Authorize staff to procure the LEDs to be installed by Signal
Maintenance.
CC -C ADOPTION OF THE 2001 -02 BUDGET CALENDAR
Recommendation: Approve the adoption of the 2001 -02 Budget Calendar.
CC -D APPROVAL OF CONCESSION STAND LICENSE AGREEMENT —
ROSEMEAD YOUTH ASSOCIATION
The Rosemead Youth Association has requested the use of the concession stand at
Rosemead Park from March 15 through August 15 2001.
Recommendation: Approve the License Agreement and authorize execution by
the Mayor.
CC -E AT & T LEASE AGREEMENT AMENDMENT
AT & T has requested an amendment to the existing cellular antennae lease
agreement between the City of Rosemead and AT & T for property located at
9101 Mission Drive (Rosemead Park Maintenance Facility). This amendment is
requested to allow an additional 120 square foot equipment shelter to be
constructed on City owned property.
Recommendation: Approve the lease agreement.
f / CC -F AUTHORIZATION TO ATTEND NATIONAL LEAGUE OF CITIES
d7 ANNUAL CONGRESSIONAL CITIES CONFERENCE, MARCH 9 -13, 2001,
WASHINGTON, D.C.
This conference provides the City with an opportunity to keep up -to -date on
federal issues. Issues to be discussed are Electronic Commerce Equity,
Preemption, The Digital Divide, Privacy and Public Safety.
Recommendation: Authorize the attendance of any Councilmember, the City
Attorney, City Manager and staff as assigned by the City Manager.
CC -G AUTHORIZATION TO ATTEND 23 ID INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZED
CRIME CONFERENCE, APRIL 2 -5, 2001, LAS VEGAS
This conference will include sessions on Narcotic Smuggliing, Alien Smugglin,
Gaming Fraud Investigations, Development of Asian Informants, Asian Gangs
and Violence in Schools, and a Global Update on Asian Gangs and Organized
Crime.
Recommendation: Authorize the attendance of Mayor Pro Tern Imperial and
Deputies Valenzuela and Zarate.
CC -H AUTHORIZATION TO ATTEND LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA CITIES 2001
PLANNERS INSTITUTE, MARCH 21 -23, 2001, MONTEREY
This year's seminar includes sessions on Housing, Technology, CEQA, Water,
Community Cultures, and Open Space.

CC -I APPROVAL OF 4 OF JULY /CITY ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION AND
CARNIVAL AGREEMENT FOR 2001
The City has utilized J.A. Blash Shows, Inc., to conduct a carnival at Rosemead
Park in conjunction with the City's activities. It is pro used that we utilize the
carnival for Friday, June 29 th through Monday, July 2" , and that the parade, 4 of
July Celebration/City Anniversary take place on Saturday, June 30, 2001.

4 A. PETITION TO REPLACE STREET TREES ON MARYBETH AVENUE
The removal of the existing parkway trees and the planting of Liquid Amber trees
within the parkway areas on Marybeth Avenue between Olney and Marshall
Streets will be considered.
