AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD PLACING
LIMITATIONS ON THE PARKING OF
WIDE VEHICLES ON CITY STREETS
AND RIGHTS OF WAY
AS FOLLOWS:
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES ORDAIN
SECTION 1. New Section 3312 of the Rosemead Municipal
Code is hereby added to read as follows:
33 PARKING OF WIDE VEHICLES
A. No person shall park or leave standing any
vehicle having a maximum width in excess of eighty (80)
inches upon any street, unimproved parkway, other
unimproved property dedicated to public use, or portion
thereof for a period of time exceeding two (2) hours,
except when necessary for the purpose of making pickups
and deliveries of goods, wares and merchandise from or
to any building or structure fronting upon any street,
or for the delivery of building materials to a building
site fronting on any street, only while actual loading
or unloading operations are in progress.
B. Any vehicle found in violation of this section
may be cited and/or removed from the public street. If
removed, said vehicle shall be stored until such time as
it is claimed by the registered owner. Said cost of
removal and storage shall be borne by the registered
owner.
C. The provisions of this section shall not apply
to (1) passenger buses under the jurisdiction of either
the California Public Utilities Commission or Federal
regulatory authority, or to (2) any vehicle owned by a
public utility while necessarily in use of the construc-
tion, installation or repair of any public utility.
D. Penalty. Violation of this section shall be
punishable as an infraction with a fine not to exceed
two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00).
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of the or finance.
