Ordinance No. 566 - 8709 Steele Street• • ORDINANCE NO. 566 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD APPROVING A ZONE CHANGE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 8709 STEELE STREET, ROSEMEAD, CALIFORNIA. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council of the City of Rosemead does hereby find and determine that an application was filed by Eufemio & Yris Guevara requesting a zone change from R-3 multiple family residential to R-1 low density residential, for property located at: 8709 Steele Street or otherwise described as "Lot 7 of Tract No. 10195" and that a public hearing was duly scheduled for March 27, 1984 at 8:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Rosemead City Hall, 8838 Valley Boulevard, Rosemead, California; and that notice of the time, date, place and purpose of the aforesaid hearing was duly given; and that a hearing was duly held at the aforementioned time and place. Section 2. WHEREAS, at said public hearing the City Council determined the following findings to be in order: 1. The change of zone is in harmony with the elements and objectives of the General Plan. • 2. The change of zone will not be detrimental to the surrounding properties. 3. The change of zone is desirable to the public convenience. 4. The change of zone will have no adverse environmental effects on fish, wildlife or their habitat, or cause any public health problems. A Negative Declaration was prepared and adopted in compliance with the guidelines for the implementation of CEQA, as amended in 1983, and in keeping with Section 15096(g)(1) of CEQA, the City of Rosemead has considered all environmental information in accordance with the duties of a responsible agency. Section 3. The City Council of the City of Rosemead does ordain as follows: • 1. That certain property located in the City of Rosemead, and more particularly described in Section 1, be classified as "R-1", Low Density Residential. 2. That the Zoning Map of the City of Rosemead is to be amended by removing the zone classification described in Section 1 hereof, and said map shall have noted thereon, "Amended to R-1", on April 24 , 1984. 3. The City Clerk is directed to enter the date of the adoption of this Ordinance in the appropriate space of Part 2 hereinabove. 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required by law. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 24th day of April 1984.
