Ordinance No. 570 - Commercial Residential PartiesN U 0 ORDINANCE NO. 570 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD ADDING A NEW SECTION 3901 TO THE ROSEMEAD MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO PUBLICIZED COMMERCIAL RESIDENTIAL PARTIES THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES ORDAIN: SECTION 1. A new section 3901, reading as follows, is hereby added to the Rosemead Municipal Code: "3901. ALL RESIDENTIAL.PARTIES--PUBLICIZED COMMERCIALISM PROHIBITED. 1. Definitions. For purposes of this Section: (A) "Party" means a group of persons meeting together for social, recreational or amusement purposes, but excluding meetings for political, charitable or religious purposes. (B) "Residential Area" means all land in the City of Rosemead which is classified in one of the residential zones in the Rosemead Zoning Code as well as all land that is utilized for residential Purposes, regardless of zone classification. 'Residential area" shall not include land devoted exclusively to park and/or playground purposes. (C) "Publicized" means an open invitation circulated by flyer, handbill or advertised by publication, posting or distribution in or about public places, including schools suggesting that there is unlimited or unreserved attendance. (D) "Commercial" means the suggestion or the request of a monetary charge, or a request for a donation, either for admission, or to offset the • charges of either the refreshments and/or band. 2. It shall be unlawful to host, conduct or permit a publicized or commercial party in any residential area in the City of Rosemead. 3. The violation of this Section is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $500 or by imprison- ment for not to exceed•six (6) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. E i SECTION 2.
